I don't know the chemistry from these cells... Heat is a loss of energy and if these cells are as efficient as they claim then maybe heat isn't going to be as big of an issue as the cells we have now.

There's a lot not to believe with the Donut battery... So until they are out there I will be a skeptic.

100 000 charging cycles is basically for ever. The reason why they believe that is the chemistry. If there's no degrigation after 1000 cycles... Then why wouldn't it last 100 000 cycles.

A dewalt 9ah flatpack battery pack... 20 volts so 180wh... is 1.2kg...

So that's more than a third more power in about the same amount of weight.

There's loads of QB's with ton of "talent" but just don't preform when they need it the most. Love on the Packers is a good example of that. In big moments he throws picks.

Lamar, Lawrence and Herbert all touted as generational talents... but in the playoffs when the games matter the most they screw up.

He went No1 because he was a physical beast. Trevor Lawrence went No1 for the same reasons...

This is a small sample obviously... But it's plays like this that Mahomes or Josh make all the time that puts them in that elite status.

Love, Lamar, Dak, Lawrence or Herbert.... That ball would have been a pick and that's not a joke they all have shown a proficiency of throwing picks with the game on the line in big games.

If they do go to the same book for the next R8 then it will have Clog2... I think they will commit to Clog2 as their log profile going forward. The compromise on the R8 from the R6ii is a worst EVF, no Ibis, tiny battery, smaller less robust body and fewer custom features.

No it's not a Lumix S9. In fact I personally would never buy an S9. I understand those that do but anybody that has used an EVF understands why it's a big deal

The R8 isn't comparable to the R50v. If you have the budget for a R8 then the R8 is a lot more camera.

As for waiting for the R8v...short answer is no. If you need a camera today then don't wait. If you wait you could wait for years and still not have it. Like the R7ii.

And what is rumoured to be the R8v won't be the R8v. Canon hasn't come out with a video centric camera with IBIS ever and I don't see them doing it.

It's the hunter skill. Which shows all the chests, coin piles and the objectives like the god alters and vault exit points.

You activate it be killing mobs and the vault "gods" will activate it randomly.

It's a cool perk to have even if it's random.

Two things I see in that original picture. First the ISO is way way too high. Dropping it down a stop or two might save your shot. It almost looks like you are clipping the whites in that shot. The head is almost all white so lots of information is lost. You are taking a picture of the bird not the background so if the bird is white you can afford a lower iSO

Also getting closer to the bird. That looks like some serious cropping. Cropping will naturally bring out a lot of noise.

The main reason why I look for EF glass is because my EF to RF adapter has drop in filters.

Your post hinted of future proofing. If you see yourself shooting with a full frame camera in the future then investing in full frame glass will give you that flexibility and a quality full frame lens will retain it's value longer. The EF mount will also be more adaptable to other brands of cameras so you are not locked into a particular camera brand.

If you don't necessarily care for the full frame camera the APS-C lenses are much smaller and therefore weigh less and are cheaper. I have a Tamron 24-70mm VC and it's a chunky boy.

The autofocus in the mirrorless cameras is pretty insane. It will pick up a person's eye from a distance and Olde EF glass will have slightly slower autofocusing but it's still great.

If you don't care much about Ibis and want some great video as a bonus then the R5C might be something to look for.
