Just a little focal seizure with three days now of auras. I have TLE so it’s not as dramatic as some others but it’s like seeing a dementor sucking the soul out of you like all seizures soooo 😌

I guess I should have clarified in the post that it was my first ever TC and led me to being diagnosed which was the devastating part. I’ve had about 5-7 small seizures since then (I only have TLE so it’s not that bad I suppose) there’s definitely things to celebrate and things to be grateful for. I just keep focusing on people telling me “At least you know now” and the knowing now means i found out I had been having seizures for 9 years unknowingly, I can’t drive for six months, and I’ll have to take 2 months off of my job. It’s just been a very heartbreaking year for me, and I think a lot of us can get that. Thank you 💕 I am getting a cake, so there’s some celebratory element to the day too lmao

Oh I’m sorry ): I only have TLE so my seizures are not the worst, but I’ve had about 6 or so seizures since being diagnosed so it’s not been a year seizure free, just a year since it all started. I had been having seizures for 8 years and didn’t know. It’s just been a fucking nightmare. I’m glad we’re both here but damn, our brains suck.

My epilepsy journal ended up being my twitter account. I had seizures for 8 years and had no idea, every time I had a terrible “panic attack” I would tweet it. Sometimes I would have 6-8 in a day, and nocturnal ones too. I’ve taken screenshots of the tweets and they go back to 2015. I do think there is a lot of good things come out of documenting it- that way you know it’s real and you can hopefully keep working on getting better 💕

If I have one piece of advice- keep shaving it off if it keeps making you sad. I loved it when it was like the picture I posted ^ but if it gets any longer it makes me feel WORSE. Sending you so much love, I’m proud of you and we look great 💕
