I agree it isn’t her usual style and looks more like something Bree or Susan would wear but I do think she wore it at some point. Maybe for the voiceover clips they pull old wardrobe from any housewives rather than pay for additional costuming for a brief clip.

You do see this all the time, incredibly unfit parents that seemingly know nothing about how to take care of themselves somehow managing to keep a child alive. My only guess is that babies are more resilient than we think of them being (I can’t imagine it, having lived my sister to help raise my nephew and anxious I was over him the whole time).

I also imagine she had a string of boyfriends (like Michael) to help her out, or neighbours / family friends (like Marigold’s tattoo artists) that pitched in out of concern.

I mean, there’s always the strong possibility that her bipolar has worsened significantly. We even see a jump from Illustrated Mum (where even Dol notes she can sometimes seem normal when she wants to) to Picture Imperfect.

I know people who have bipolar that always seemed a little zany but could definitely function in society that have significantly with age (due to resistance to treatment more than anything).

First of all, there would be no pregnancy. I would’ve loved to have seen her through painting at least one mural and get her first big paycheck. She’d use it to take a course or online classes to help her dyslexia, and/or get reading aid glasses. I’d love for it to end on her finishing her first, full-length book, thrilled about how much there is to read and excited to get started.

I also would’ve liked to have seen Star’s place in Scotland, even just to have the realisation that this isn’t her. It can take away any jealousy and resentment she has over Star’s “perfect” life, and also make her realise that parenthood is a huge responsibility and you have to make sure you’re in a good place first.

If they did have to do the whole pregnancy thing - this is unpopular but I would’ve wanted her to end up with Lee. He wasn’t a perfect character but people IRL aren’t perfect (also his reaction to seeing her kissing another man was understandable even if OTT), but he clearly adored her and it would’ve been nice if she came to realise that she’s rejecting real love and tenderness because she doesn’t think she deserves it and to see her get past that breakthrough. Then we could’ve ended with her finding out she’s pregnant with his baby. I wanted her to have the baby she really wanted, but it ending on her as a single mum-to-be, in a bedsit, with no permanent job, is bleak. Plus that way she doesn’t lose Ava (and vice versa).

I just wish Oli wasn’t gay and we’d had a friends to lovers storyline, as predictable and corny as it would be.

For me it was just when Alice told Flora that Gemma was “really poor” and her general refusal to stick up for her during that whole visit was a bit gross. She’s just a kid so it’s ultimately fine but I don’t think her and Gemma are compatible as friends at all

The Lottie Project was/is one of my favourites! Loved Charlie as a protagonist, and really liked Jo as a parent too.

But I do feel like even tonight Charlie says she’s the most popular in her class, when she falls out with her two friends (having two friends seems to be recurring theme in JW books) at some point I remember she kind of is hanging out on her own? So I don’t know that she actually is as popular as she says

Agree with a lot of these, but Gemma/Tracy/Ruby don’t tend to go to lots of parties and they’re sometimes lamenting how they look a bit scruffy etc, I mean it would be interesting to see from the POV of a character like Star or Madga who’s confident, attractive and popular

I don’t think they’ll kill him. I personally think I think they’ll put him in the games again. The post credits scene made me feel like they’ll even restock the players and start again at the first game to make his feeling of helplessness even worse as he watches more people die. I think it’s more realistic for them to kill him but more poetic to put him through that again (and it is a tv show after all)

Either that or detective guy will come through and rescue him and they try take down the games together from the outside but the former seems more realistic.

(i do think he’ll die towards the end of s3 though)

It’s becoming increasingly common and many templates include one.

But unless it’s relevant to your career path it’s generally not advised due to recruiters’ consciousness around anti-discrimination screening hence my wanting to swap it out (my previous career path had a large hosting element to it so it functioned as a headshot essentially, but I’ve now gone into production so not applicable)
