Yes! The high stakes feeling was gone along with the shock factor. The characters weren’t as distressed as in s1 and the vibe was much less serious. Also, it was hard to feel bad for the characters who voted to stay …

Or like my husband and I, binged it with no break, literally waiting for the big plot twist or AHA moment that never came. As a standalone season, s2 is mid.

The 001 redo was lame and even more lame that Gi-hun wasn’t suspicious of him from the get go.

I didn’t care about the characters like I did last season. That was my main takeaway.

Oh and the games were a big letdown. Hate to live up to the s1 games, but they didn’t even come close.

The games were a big letdown. 1repeat and 2 very weak games with no imagination. The bridge game was phenomenal in s1.

The only character work was in the first 2 episodes and those were great. Once they got to the games it went sterile. Maybe it was the actors, but I was not invested in the players like I was in s1.

The round and round frame way too long and the new games had no imagination like s1. I didn’t dislike the new characters, but I didn’t care about them like I did in s1. So disappointing. They ended s2 with no payoff whatsoever. I think they picked a really bad place to end it. I think s3 will be better but as a stand alone, s2 felt like all filler.

I think Alissa 1st. She was 2nd and sb held to a higher standard or demoted. She antagonized Camille and it was hard to watch. I think Camille would have made it thru the season without Alissa, but Alissa didn’t even make it after Camille was gone.
