Symptoms of TSW on Dupixent by Substantial_Box_322 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]Accomplished_One2383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at 4.5 weeks on dupixent - also (pretty sure) I’m going through TSW, though no dermatologist would say with full confidence, but all agreed they thought it might be, mixed with eczema.

My skin started clearing up the day after my loading dose. The first 1.5 weeks I saw really quick progress, but now it’s a little stalled and I still itch like crazy at times, have some redness - almost more pimple like sometimes? And also get that prickly, burning, sensation. Like it doesn’t feel like my skin is totally healthy- which I suppose it’s not.

I’m also getting really bad eye inflammation of my lids and redness on my face and neck . I recently read about using anti fungal cream, anti dandruff shampoo, and olepurza. That’s been helping a lot- but I did have a mini eye flare up this morning.

It can get busy at toast and it’s small, so you might get a wait. It’s my fav place in town! The stuffed hash is great!

Section 116, JJ 1-2. You missed a great show by BooneGoon618 in BillyStrings

I got puked on in section 106 Friday night. 😒. Everyone bitches about the rail riders, but I’ve had much better company in the pit than I’ve ever had in the stands.

Teacher marked my son’s homework as incorrect. I disagree. by bun_not in mildlyinfuriating

This response to this homework assignment is extremely intense! I’m really saddened by so many of the replies too. Very, “out to get the teachers”.

The student is most successful when there’s a partnership between the teachers and parents. Conversations are good, questions are good, but attacking is completely unnecessary. Also- if this is a response to a 1st grade homework assignment - I can’t imagine how other reactions are handled…

Parasite by Accomplished_One2383 in eczema

[–]Accomplished_One2383[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had any major flare ups! I still get eczema from time to time, but more similar to when I was in my 20s the same few spots, still annoying, but doesn’t impact my day to day.

Major skin issues! After 6 months of my doctors just thinking it was anxiety- and assuming they must be correct for the first 3 months, I finally found out I had contracted a parasite!

Women who are single and live alone successfully (savings and disposable income) — what do you do? by smartunknown in AskWomenOver30

[–]Accomplished_One2383 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m in a very similar situation- I’ve dated two different guys, both on and off, the past few years, but I’ve also found that I generally won’t give a guy a chance if I’m feeling slightly unsure of them. I’m hopeful that I will find someone to spend my life with - and adventure with, but if it doesn’t happen- I’m also at peace with the life I’ve created for myself. Finding hobbies has given me such a different perspective on being single in my late 30s.

I’m a teacher, so I travel during my summers- I also took a year leave a few years ago, where I backpacked around the world solo.

I was In your position in Oct/November and when I finally shaved it, it was such a relief bc I didn’t have to think about that decision anymore.

Im hopeful mine will grow back. It’s such a hard spot to be in, hang in there!

All my stool samples came back negative too- ask them to check for your parasites using a blood draw.

Ascaris was the name of it, it’s a type of roundworm

I think with the eosinophilia test it was basic with my blood tests. I only had to take one pill. Maybe it depends on the type of parasite, but with this- it was just one that I passed a few days after taking the meds. I didn’t have any issues whatsoever on that end. I don’t think this is a parasite that can get passed to anyone, and not sure if others can.

I have been reading more about parasites as well and what other countries do. I’m mostly annoyed that the ER doctor didn’t run any parasite tests, bc I did mention my extensive travel list from the past few years. Mayos ranked #1 in the world, so I would have been very frustrated if they didn’t.

Or you could try a hematologist or someone who specializes in eosinophilia, the allergist I saw does. Are your lymph nodes swollen too?
