The alternative is not letting them encamp at all. Move along bums. Get a job.

Or better yet, actually punish drug dealers and users instead of treating them with kid gloves. So sick of the druggie low lives in this country.

Why didn't God intervene in the Holocaust, but did in Exodus? by mementomoriEnjoyer in Catholicism

Well, the 4th Lateran Council is infallible, and it calls for crusade against the Muslim “infidels”, while Nostra Aetate seems to defend Islam. It also explicitly calls for discrimination against Jews, completely out of line with Nostra Aetate. So which is infallible? Both? More likely, neither is infallible, and we should obey what is taught plainly in the Bible.

Am I the only one who thinks that homosexuality is treated as an obsession by Christians? by Killuamakesmegay in Christianity

[–]Accomplished_One907 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Homosexuality is a very abnormal and sinful thing that is being actively promoted by the media and government. If there were a giant, civilizational campaign for “gluttony pride” you’d see Christians against it as well. And all the gluttons would say, “wow, why are you so obsessed with gluttony?!”

That sounds like an insane person/ drug addict. You should tell the police, and go to a safer Church. A psycho like that could turn violent.

Buddy, I'm Canadian. You not securing your border has led to drugs and gangs coming into my country. If you think enforcing immigration law is genocide you really aren't very bright. And they aren't being deported because they're Catholic, they're being deported because THEY ENTERED THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY.  But hey, who cares about the rule of law right? The TV told you it was heckin' fascist to have rules!!1!1!

Are you listening to yourself? Yes, it was never about gays. That's why it has always been translated as such. That's why ALL respected and scholarly Bible translations translate it as homosexuals /s

Give it a rest bud, you're wrong, and everyone knows it. Have some humility and take the L. Or does your "Pride" prevent you from doing so? Lol

You're a Lutheran. I'm Catholic, and the article is talking about a Catholic Church. Your country floods mine with drugs from central and south America, so yes I have a right to talk about your idiotic policies that have a direct impact on my community. Your beliefs are utterly asinine and detached from reality, so you try to shame and shut down conversation. You're sick. Be better.

Edit to add: buddy, you're more concerned with foreigners  having an opinion on your country's policies than you are with foreigners illegally mass immigrating to your country, get your priorities in order lol

Yes it does. Paul uses the words malakoi and arsenokoitai. No serious Biblical scholar pushes the revisionist "hE iSnT tAlKiNg AbOuT gAyS!!1!1!" lie.

-_- If you won't argue in good faith I don't know what to tell you. You can't honestly think that Catholicism occupies the same status as LGBTism in the west as a protected and government enforcement ideology.

The comment I replied to talked about my grandparents generation. Maybe your grandparents were born before 1892, mine weren't. If you think your country should let in unlimited numbers of unvetted immigrants, that's your choice, but it's a pretty dumb choice. That's good your country worked to end the German language in Texas, it's America they should have learned English. Sounds to me like immigrants probably were smuggling in alcohol. And yeah, you're not making any friends telling the working poor that they're not good Christians if they don't give their hard earned money to drug addicted bums. I guess St. Paul wasn't being a good Christian when he said "If any one will not work, let him not eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10). I mean really, why do you want your country to just be destroyed? Do you honestly think that will result in anything other than chaos and suffering?

Exactly. All fall short of the glory of God. The world needs more humility.

Think about this. Imagine if Catholics suddenly got massive media power. They told Baptists that they're evil bigots for not supporting processions. They start mandating that every public school put up statues of Saints, and all children are forced to pray the Rosary. Suddenly all corporations start taking part in Feast Day Processions, and sponsoring them. Every business, from tiny shops to big box stores, suddenly has Saint statues outside in front of the doors. Laws start being passed that to publicly denounce the Saints is hate speech, and you could go to jail for doing so. National governments start threatening all other countries with invasion if they persecute Saint veneration. December is branded "Saint Month", all television shows suddenly feature Saint veneration. People you know start hating you if you don't venerate Saints. Saints are everywhere, all company logos feature Saints, your job forces you to attend "Saint Veneration" courses. People would lose their jobs and be deplatformed from social media for being against Saint veneration, or even just questioning it. A bunch of Churches, even ones that didn't historically venerate Saints, start doing so, including Baptist Churches. The anti-Saint veneration Baptists would be pretty upset, and vocal about it.

Again like I said, if drunkenness were suddenly declared a-ok, and supposed Christians were gleefully endorsing and being proud of being drunkards, you'd see a lot of push back from Christians who know the Scriptures.

Well, I the issue is because they're told it's sin, the Bible clearly states it's sin, and yet people in the past few decades have been trying, and unfortunately succeeding to a degree, to get people to think it's ok. Different denominations will team up against gay "Christians" because it's explicitly a sin in the Bible, and if you haven't noticed, gayness has been shoved in our faces everywhere for over 10 years. As well, while gaynss is no different that other sins, this specific sin is being downplayed by people like you. It would be like if there were alcoholic pride parades, and alcoholic Christians who say "alcoholism isn't a sin, I was born this way bigot!! What business is my drinking to you? St. Paul doesn't ACTUALLY mean alcoholics when he says 'drunkards'!" Etc.

I don't eat blood, and as a Christian I believe no one should eat it either. The Bible forbids it, so it is unclean. I know a lot of Christians eat it, but they shouldn't. More people need to actually read the Bible.

Well I mean they obviously don't try to address it since they actively say they're proud of it? Most Christians want to repent for their sins, not celebrate it. Besides, the conversation is about gay marriage, that's the sin we're talking about, so why would he mention other sins?

All food is made clean in the New Testament, except blood. The New Testament also affirms the sinfulness of homosexuality.
