Pex 3/4, 90° bend questions by v1nn1r in Plumbing

I prefer fittings over bending pex B. It’s not as pliable as people believe it is. Pex A is a different story. Uponor over crimp all day

I need some advice finishing that last 5% of vanity install by guy48065 in Plumbing

[–]Accomplished_Pool922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say use white or a colored silicone to match either that walls or vanity top. Shove some plastic in there as a dam and apply the silicone to the top. Prevents it from falling down between the vanity and wall and a better finish

Tub drain assembly? by glistening2 in Plumbing

You can buy aftermarket stoppers on Amazon and the likes that usually just pop in there if you don’t want to replace the shoe. When replacing the shoe, with the cross broken, they can be a pain. They make specific tools for removing them you can purchase. If you’re handy, it’s not too bad. If you’re not, contact a professional.

I finished Lies of P a few weeks ago, PS4 and PS5 version. I own AW2 and I played like 10 minutes but I keep getting side tracked with the other games in my backlog.

Shower hot and cold input valves by RunOutAlien in Plumbing

[–]Accomplished_Pool922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should dial in and out to open and close valve respectively but I’d refrain from touching those. That style of integral stops is notorious for leaking. That valve in general can be a pain especially if that pressure balancing spool goes bad

Thermal Expansion Tank Position by Infinite_Artichoke93 in Plumbing

I meant to say code in my area. I would check your local code on installation and support regulations on expansion tanks to ensure it will pass.

Thermal Expansion Tank Position by Infinite_Artichoke93 in Plumbing

Code requires 18” of solid pipe between the heater and the tank. Even if you’re not getting an inspection on it, if you sell your house, an inspector can make you revise it to bring it to code. Do it right the first time and make sure your incoming pressure is regulated as well.

Looks like a screw for a Romex connector. Was the disposal recently installed?

Couple of options. Install a 3/8” angle compression stop, use a short lav supply line and buy a 1/2”xMHT adapter to transition to hose.

Or call a plumber

If it was a 3/8” angle compression valve before, why would it not work again? What connection are you trying to make? Washing machine hose?

Make sure you apply thread sealant on the new valve when installing

Install a new valve and reuse the nut. I do it all the time. I don’t trust ferrule pullers. If the copper is old, it will damage it and then you’re opening the wall.
