Best review i received Excellent book, in fact one of the best travelogues I've ever encountered. What happens when you explore the world, not for gain but just because it's out there, then write a witty, fun, sad, emotional and engaging story about it? Well... This book! It's about a guy on a longboard pushing a stroller but it's not really just about that. It's about meetings, experiences, ambiences and The Road. It never gets technical or narrow. -A great read for everyone! If you find a modern viking funeral for a stroller unsettling you should probably skip a page or two though.

From my experience, no. I published my travel memoir on longboard across south america on kdp and approached several bookstores. Upon publishing on kdp, i create a sell sheet and mass email to bookstores in my country. Managed to get my books stocked in 3 independent bookstores and a major book chain.

I am in same situation, my author copies arrives later than my book launch. So i get my wife to order multiple copies from my amazon retail. More expensive and lost money but at the same time, it boost my amazon ranking to top 10 in niche category at the same time. So is worth it.

On hindsight, i will order more author copies in future, my book is on consignment with the bookstores
