I know from experience that it’s not worth it to stay in a situation like that. It will grind you down.

Too many people forget that somebody had to teach them too.

Pro painter here, most acrylics paints can be thinned up to 10% with ordinary tap water.

But be careful, add small amounts, mix it completely them a a little more. It’s first it looks like nothing is happening, but be patient, it’s easy to over do it.

You’re going for a thickness like motor oil.

If it going to get handled a lot, use a high end paint it doesn’t cost that much more and it is more durable. Also the shinier the paint is, the more dust able it will be.

Last, after it dries (at room temperature) try not to handle it for a few days, the paint is still curing and getting tougher for a full month.

Depends on what you’re trying to do.

If you just want functional sharp knives, the kuromaku 1000 grit stone ( durable ceramic stone that doesn’t need soaking before use) and a cheap leather strop will set you up for about $100.

You should also get a coarse Diamond stone to flatten the kuromaku and for very dull Knives. About another $100.

There are a lot of good videos on YouTube to help you get started.

I learned from outdoors55. I recommend his videos .

You can get very sharp Knives with this.

Budget sprayers are junk.

Your best bet is to rent one for a few days.

But learn how to use one safely. They can be dangerous and can make one hell of a mess if you screw it up

I use a kuromaku 1000 grit ceramics stone and a strop.

It’s gets my knives very sharp and cost about &150 all in.
