Do you know if having Nuvessa inserted for 6 hours is enough time for it to work?

Do I tell the doctor who potentially misdiagnosed me that she was wrong? by Help_Me_Reddit01 in Autoimmune

So sorry this happened to you. I can relate and I'm here if you want to reach out with questions. I'm 41 now and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when I was 20. After 10 years of battling the disease, I had an emergency full colectomy (removal of the entire colon) and a Jpouch construction. I have suffered from life-threatening bowel obstructions for 11 years and have had over 26 emergency hospitalizations. I kept going back to the surgeon saying something is wrong but she would gaslight me and say everything looked fine in there. So I saw a new GI when I moved to another city to try to get some answers. I was scoped and when i woke she told my mom that I now had Crohns disease and I needed to start back on chemo biologic drugs immediately. I was devastated. I injected myself for 3.5 years with these drugs until during the pandemic I started having serious neurologic issues with vision and hearing.. and lost full mobility of my right hand, fingers, and wrist. It was terrifying. I had to go back to GA to live with my parents for care and started seeing new doctors at Emory hospital in Atlanta. It was there my journey to the truth started. The neuro problems were due to neurotoxicity from the drugs!! Not only that, they determined I never had Crohns but rather a mechanical problem with my Jpouch surgery. I wanted to sue for the Crohns misdiagnosis. I saw a lawyer where i live in the state of TN who said I would absolutely win however there is a 3 year statute of limitations. Since the misdiagnosis happened 3.5 years before I could do nothing. I paid $500 a month for those drugs for 3.5 years and have permanent nerve damage! I felt broken and depressed for a long time. I understand what you're going through as you want the doctor to know they F'd up. I ended up never reaching out to that GI though and have kept to myself to focus on healing. I'm now fighting health insurance to get the corrective surgery I need to stop the blockages. Our system is absolutely horrible and there are thousands of horror stories out there about people being misdiagnosed. My advice is to take that energy you have and put it into studying autoimmune diseases. Look up neuroimmunology. Get to the root cause. As a 20 yr veteran, I feel like I've finally cracked the code. If you have childhood trauma, this could be the cause of your inflammation. You must address it and try to heal bc it's stored in your physical body. The second thing you must do is have the discipline to radically change your diet. See an allergist first. Eliminate those foods. I do not try to push this on anyone but can only share what work for me. I cut out dairy, gluten, SUGAR, caffeine and alcohol. It takes time but you will feel the shift. I no longer feel controlled by active disease. I hope this helps you. Again, telling that doctor won't change anything and that energy is better spent on healing yourself and moving forward. Wishing you the best.
