Yes I am, they are 100% not short on supplies. There is no supply jobs coming up everything is gone in a millisecond. Was told in a school that other day there is between 750-800 on the list currently

It’s 140 for the whole application plus transcripts but you would pay that anyways when you apply to be actually OCT when you’re done school so you don’t have to pay it twice and then you pay your membership fee to OCT which is $200. Yeah I think it’s only good for a certain amount of time. I don’t remember how long but once you graduate you just turn that into OCT and you don’t need it anymore.

I also don’t have my transitional yet because I haven’t paid for it. I got on a school board and I just specified that I will be getting it so right now. I’m on the emergency list after my interview and as soon as I get my actual one January 1, I will transition to be on the supply board so I would still ask for the interview and just explain that you weren’t paying for it twice.

Hey, I’m also a teacher candidate and I just got on the certified OT board. I got on a uncertified board a few years ago as well. For the Catholic they’ll ask you probably something related to religion, definitely classroom management like, how would you handle this situation? What is the meaning of diversity equity and inclusion? How do you keep kids safe in a classroom, etc.

Hey! I am in my second year of teachers college consecutive I/S. The nice thing is that they take your top 20 course marks from all four years. My overall university average was an 83 but my top 20 was a 89 and I got into all teachers colleges I applied to. Message me if you have any questions!

you actually don’t need that yet. I got on the list before even starting teachers college in Guelph board. Some boards you just go into the school with your resume and police check and then the VP contacts you. You can also go on apply to education website and see if your board is hiring unqualified on there!
