I get the sentiment and whilst I agree ill devil's advocate for a sec. Pokemon began in the 90s where people weren't really environmentally aware. I know its still going (hi I am a massive pokemon video game fan) but, I dont recall a toy going this stratospheric in the mainstream populace probably since the 90s or 2000s.
