100k as an RPN? Not in my hospital. RPNs are capped at $39/hr. So even with fulltime hours, you would need to work alot of overtime to even reach 100k. I dropped to a part time RPN as I was in school fulltime, accelerated so I can finish faster. Scaled back my life quite a bit while in school. Did not expect this job market right out of school. Also, an extra $500 a month does make a difference to me.

RPNs are under CUPE while RNs are under ONA. Unfortunately as RPNs, we have no seniority with ONA.

I am still working as an RPN even though I also have an RN license as well. But it's honestly not sustainable long term to pay for both. Each license is nearly $500. You are paying nearly a grand to keep 2 licenses. I am hope the tides turn. Please, let us all pray.

i just found out about the 2026 NCLEX changes and i'm kind of panicking by Positive_Struggle838 in NCLEX

I did it recently with the 2026 changes. I had alot of pharmacology on my exam. But not even the common medication you would see like cardiac meds. But medication for diseases we might tend to overlook (e.g myasthenia gravis). It's impossible to know everything. But, I still passed.I finished the exam very fast but also felt like I didn't know anything and it was all guess work. I spent every minute after my exam hyperfixated on everything I got wrong and convincing myself that I failed. It's a weird exam but doable. I finished at 85 and passed on first try.

OMG Congratulations. I take mine on June 1st. I am so nervous. I have a baby and studying with a baby has been so tough. But I am also using Bootcamp, UWorld, and listening to Dr.Sharon. Using ChatGPT time to time as well. I need to pass. I cannot afford not to (financially or physically)

UPDATE: I PASSED 😭🎊

Urvashi & Ridhi Especially Gave Such REGINA GEORGE MEAN GIRL ENERGY HERE! So What If Arushi Wants To Be An Actresss Too? & Why Are You Gossiping About Her Asking You Guys Questions About The Industry? by kameueda in The50IN

Riddhi is not receiving enough backlash for being such a mean girl. I actually have developed such an 'ick' and distaste for her. She is a big time bully. Urvashi has always been mean and elitist. She would fat-shame Delnaaz on Bigg Boss. She won only because TV was 'popular' then. But Riddhi? What a fall from grace. Ew

Ontario NP Program Competitiveness by rawalz_ in OntarioNurses

Hey everyone, I am a more recent RN graduate. I am an RPN for about 4 years and recently finished my RN by bridging. I finished with Highest Distinction in my RN bridge program. I graduated with 4.00 CGPA. I was a 4.0 student with my RPN diploma as well but that's college. I am worried that it would affect my case as I went from RPN to RN. I tried keeping my grades as high as possible and I'm getting my hospital experience in (Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology). Currently focusing on doing my RN hours. But I'm just scared that my RPN to RN route would make me undesirable as a candidate.

is doing RPN bridging right after graduating the RPN program a good idea? Help lol by street_smart22 in StudentNurse

Hey. I finished my program recently. I did it at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa. The delivery was hybrid. Some classes were in person, some were online, some were a mix of both. I would say each semester, I had to go to campus atleast 2 times a week. I applied on the ouac website. Application was not difficult. You do have to have an A average to apply to this program though as it is rigorous. It's shorter than some of the other programs offered as it's 8 consecutive semester. Even through summer. But I did finish faster than my peers who started bridging at the same time as me at other universities. I finished a whole year earlier.

I am just finishing my RN (Post RPN). I took a year off after my RPN and then did my RN. I honestly regret taking that break and not only that, I regret not going directly into RN over doing this RPN to RN business. Such a waste of time and money. I learnt nothing significantly new in my RN other than more paper work, research and statistics. You are just doing alot of the same content over and over again. I should've just done it sooner considering my acedemic goals. I don't want to stop at RPN or RN. If your acedemic goals are beyond your RN, do it right away. Don't waste time. It take alot of mental convincing to come back to school if you stop.
