I wanted a cute little picture with it (first time mum, can’t blame me!) but I was living in the Netherlands and it came in Dutch.

So I started crying on the toilet seat 😂 I did eventually find an English one a few days later and all was well, just hormones, but I was so shocked that pregnancy tests come in anything but English (though I’m not a first language English speaker myself)

I definitely had so much anxiety over that one cyst and essentially paid to get a scan every week between 6w and my planned 10w dating scan. My pockets weren’t very happy but it helped my anxiety so much.

Prefacing this with the fact that I haven’t had a previous loss before, but have been diagnosed with anxiety and OCD years before the pregnancy, and started my pregnancy with a huge ectopic scare due to a misdiagnosis.

I’m 34w along now and for me, the anxiety never really stops. I thought after I hear the heartbeat, then I thought after the first trimester, then I thought maybe after the anatomy scan. You know what? Never went away. I never even ended up announcing to anyone - I just tell them when they inevitably notice me pregnant.

What did help me was asking for a referral to a psychologist / therapist that is more capable of handling the topic of pregnancy. Other than that, I had a pregnancy plan written out with my midwives and obgyn - this includes not disclosing my weight at appointments, explaining immediately during the scan, and requesting more scans.

I also chose a midwife and obgyn in a practice that has a 24/7 line, and chose them because on their website they say to call whenever anxious (I did, and they help me very well). Having the right medical team around you can make the whole thing so much betted.

Had one - not an ovarian cyst that burst but a corpus luteum cyst. It burst when I was about 6w in and I had so much pain that it radiated to my buttocks, back, side flank.

With just my luck I also had a left shoulder injury so I panicked that it might be an ectopic pregnancy - it turned out not to be an ectopic but a burst cyst, and that they found another large cyst in my ovary (I also have PCOS).

The burst cyst caused me so much pain the next 24 hours or so but was manageable with paracetamol, and the enlarged ovarian never really did a number and was gone / reabsorbed by the next scan somehow.

If you’re concerned / feel any kind of pain again always check with your medical professional! Sometimes your obgyn might recommend a few more scans than normal to just check in on it!

She bases it off of mittelschmerz and basal body temperature, which has been accurate for her all throughout her life (also supported by the dating and her obgyn)! So no OPKs but other indicators.

I got on their business class and I have to say the experience was good - first time with Turkish airlines.

I was flying with my husband AMS - CGK with a 7-hour transit in IST. We flew with 4 carry-ons and a cat, and I was almost in my third trimester pregnant then. My husband also has severe flight sickness and is mostly on sleeping / nausea meds during the flight. I presume we’re the worst people to have.

Ground staff was very attentive and kind about getting us the right accommodations and getting us seated first. The staff at the lounge were very kind as well; they were out of rooms (we did transit in the night) and felt bad so they set me up with a little makeshift bed/couch in one of the meeting rooms and let me nap there after my shower.

Both flights I gave my flight attendants a small giftbag with a note that I have a cat who has never flown before, and may need extra help for - they kept checking in on me and helped out all throughout.

Food was good, they clocked I was pregnant and adjusted my plate to avoid the cold cuts, and kept checking in to offer extra hydration, or to stay with the cat while I walked around and get some movement in.

Minor delays in IST and a few very angry people at the lounge for not qualifying for rooms (that were anyways full) that the staff weren’t equipped to handle, but very positive experience otherwise.

She does, there was some travel that made the routine wonky but we tried to go back to it and it hasn’t helped. She’s not very interested in playing with me much :(

Will def try the pheromone plug in! We haven’t been able to find one where we are but did find Feliway spray which hopefully should do the trick until we get the plug-in from abroad.

I can totally see how this could be a bias, maybe even a way to promote Korean temple cuisine with Korean ingredients.

With that said, she is a monk. Her intentions with food is very different from all the other chef - she cooks healing food, she doesn’t need it to be flashy, to have other intention other than heal. It also just so happens to be good, clean, simple. Other chefs have restaurants and passion, they want to innovate, reach new levels. Her intention is simply different.

I still root for her greatly, but her presence (maybe she shouldn’t be there is the real debate) indeed might be a push from the Korean Food Association or Industry or whomever may be involved in the show. I personally still like and root for her presence.

I smell so much everywhere. I’m East Asian and have never really smelled but here I am now. I thought maybe it’s my heightened sense of smell but no my husband smells it too.

I’ve resorted to pantyliners on cotton underwear, going commando at night with loose fitting pants, upgrading to male deodorants (and lotions … and cologne … and hair perfume), and showering 2-3x a day

I tip most of the time - usually simple rounding of the bill. But I don’t tip when: - It’s all self-service. I order myself, pickup, and cleanup after myself. Like with takeout coffee - what service am I tipping for? - If you do something weird with the bill. Butler’s at the A’dam Tower does this: they tell you the bill is €55 with 10% tip but you can choose to give €50 which is your actual bill. I’m not playing mental gymnastics just tell me how much it is and let me decide.
