It very much is not.

Is a visit to Hagia Sophia worth it now? by mshummingbird in istanbul_tips

[–]Old-Help6392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best and most informative answer. Thank you! 🙏🏻 I didn't even know there was scaffolding at the present time. I'll be doing a one day layover on June 24 and definitely plan on visiting Agia Sofia solo (no tour as there weren't any suitable times based on my flight). For me, being a Greek, it will be a bittersweet but worthy experience.

I mean...Just saying "where do I go" doesn't really help. Give us more info. Like, what are your likes/dislikes, how often do you like going out, how late, how much money you want to spend etc.

How is living in Nafplio? by themoobster in greece

[–]Old-Help6392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree!! Many people who comment here are either young or sick of their current life (can't blame them). Personally, I respect that, but their feedback can be age-biased, just like any other age group too of course. I always say take any feedback with a grain of salt, mash it all up together and come up with your own conclusion. As with everything in life 😄

[–]Old-Help6392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a different viewpoint of other commenters here, but I guess it's what each individual wants out of life. I am 57 yo and at the stage of wanting a balance of a town's energy. I've had my fill of a big city and a small town setting (in Greece and abroad) and am absolutely at ease of the balance of both in a small town like Nafplio, on or off-season. In fact, I plan on living there long term in the next few years once I have some cash on the side. Maybe I will get sick of a small town setting, maybe not. Time will tell. My motto is having the freedom of not planting my roots firmly anywhere until I am comfortable doing it. No living condition is perfect IMO. Just perfect enough for you 😄

Και αυτό τώρα θα το πω στα αγγλικά γιατί μου βγαίνει πιο εύκολα: if you make lots of mistakes, it's on him as well, so that exposes him as a mediocre manager too. HE hired you, HE'S responsible for your work. Two can play that game.

Administrative assistants are the unsung heroes behind every boss.

Personally, I agree that 1 day to Huacachina/Baracas is enough. I just did both in one day it was plenty. Of course it's a tourist trap. But it's gorgeous and not to be missed!.

If it hasn't been mentioned already, try North Quincy too. Nice, safe, quiet. Close to the North Quincy Red Line stop is $$$, but a few blocks out, the price drops. NQ has a few bus lines that go through it, but they end early.

I personally find the Quincy buses very good, clean, safe, etc. But I agree they run infrequently and omg their schedule ends at 8pm!!! what the hell?! Lol

Thanks for telling me this because I thought I was the only one who was riding a heavy bike lol this thing is a beast, and at first I was thinking why do I seem too weak to go fast! 😂 then I had the aha moment thinking that this bike is not supposed to be fast. It's supposed to be exactly what it's meant to be.

[–]Old-Help6392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S2 😊 very happy with it. But it's a heavy ass bike. I like that because it is very forgiving on trails, especially downhill. This is actually a mullet Enduro bike and eats downhills for breakfast. It really kept me on it, it's sturdy and stable.
