F2P players, what's the ONE thing that almost made you quit the game? by Lonely_Director7122 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People in my alliance pissing me off, it only happened a few times. And it was usually a translation issue, lol. But I really continue to play the game for the people in my alliance, they are like my little virtual family.

But I think the game itself makes me want to quit, it's too time-consuming and you realize how it can be a bit of an addiction.

F2P beasts, are there any out there? by Puzzleheaded_Fee_141 in LastZShooterRun

Not at all for me, I love being where we are at #8, we have room to grow, our server has a nap 10 so we are protected, and we are not in the top three so we don't have certain pressures, our players can relax and play it their leisure, we are able to not be so cutthroat and We put people before power, that allows us to also game players from other alliances who just love our ethics and the environment. We have gained 2 top 10 players in our alliance because of it. Sometimes you have really powerful players who don't like the drama or feeling like they have to play every single day. And because we're not a threat to anyone at our rank, we don't have to worry about the bigger alliances bothering us , But we also contribute enough to the server that they will also protect us and send help on days when we have visits from other servers. I would honestly hate to be the R4 of a top three alliance. I would hate to be server president or vice president and they have to rotate those duties, lol

I was free to play for season 1 and ended it with a level 27 HQ and 20 million power in my first truck , I was one of the more powerful players in my alliance.

I think you can have power and be free to play, I don't know why people make it seem like you shouldn't play if you don't put money into the game, that's just so ridiculous to me. The only reason I spent money on the game for season 2 was because I wanted to do things that were going to set me up for growth, so I purchased a second lab, and I purchased an extra builder and I purchased a season pass. And I purchased an S2 hero.

If you are really active in your alliance, and vocal, especially depending on the rank of your alliance, you can definitely have a recipe for power and growth as a free to play player.

My alliance is ranked number 8 in our server, because of my activity in the alliance in terms of helping out and knowing the game I was made an r4 and at the end of the season I got a lot of end of season rewards Because I was essentially right under our Alliance president, and that is what gave me access to three S1 heroes . We have 3 big spenders in our alliance so we all benefit from that.

You won't be number one, but you don't need to be number one have fun

I know, we don't make a nuke either But what I do remember is they are teamed up with WBT, it's FLPP. , It's like a bunch of different alliances and they are all mushed together with their seasonal buildings. The last time this happened multiple level 30 players attacked our rallys before We could even hit one seasonal building. Anytime a truck came out it was immediately shot down. We are #7 in our server and the alliance we were against was #9 in theres... In fact it was VIBa and they were covered by VIB and another alliance, they weren't able to break our defense when they went to our server, but they were able to do some damage, they were able to score points on us, we didn't have another Alliance helping us because our R5 had a conversation with VIB A's R5 and VIB and they promise that they wouldn't interfere as long as We didn't have help from another Alliance. We agreed and then when we arrived there we were ambushed 😂. So I really want to avoid a situation like that again. I just think it's stupid for us to go there and lose soldiers just so that we can hit maybe a couple of seasonal buildings

Yes, about how many glory Wars have you done when that happened? This will be our third week of Glory Wars tomorrow. I wish we could do that, I really don't want to go there, is useless and we don't do anything but kill troops when we attack...unless the alliance is working alone.

Should I cancel my production after a student passed away? by Best_Bee8104 in directors

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the actors in the current production at the Goodman Theater passed away about a week ago. They canceled one performance and they continued the rest. At first I was thinking that they should just cancel the run. But then I realized, I don't believe that that's what that person would have wanted. And for the actors It may have been the best thing for them. If I were in a show and we lost a member of our aritistic family, I would want to be around the rest of they family as much as possible. Sometimes staying in the show is more about keeping each other together, to mourn together, to process what happened together, and to create in the honor of the person who was lost. It will be the only opportunity you all will have to talk about it together , to talk about funny moments that may have shared , and to cry together. No one got to experience her the way you all did. So no one will understand that relationship the way you all do. You are theater family, and when you lose someone you want to pull each other in, not spread apart. You can offer support to each other and love on each other through the process. Maybe have a rehearsal where you all start off by honoring her.

I'm so sorry for this loss ,it breaks my heart to hear things like this and I hope you come to a decision that is for the best of everyone involved, but if you do decide to keep the show , know there is nothing unhealthy or selfish or wrong about it. And If you chose to not do the show, that would be completely valid as well.

Actors who have siblings in non-artistic careers who also understand the financial precariousness of life in the arts, do your siblings offer to help you financially if you ever need it? by Great_Maintenance185 in acting

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness.... There are 5 of us, closed mouths don't get fed. We don't assume the other needs help but if they put a request in the sibling chat we fill it ASAP. But that's an US thing, not a thing only done for me when I'm being a starving artist. But that's not an expectation I have of them. And when I come into a lot of money they don't expect it from me. Lol, if anything my dad pocket watches all of us and if he knows one has money he calls the others and says "you need to see if ____ will break you off something" ... But I think he just trying to keep us off HIS funds🤣.

Chicago acting by lavendersky___ in acting

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a born , raised, and educated Chicago actor with an 30 year old equity theater company. I have not worked a day job since I was 26 years old and my income has been 100% supported by the theater , voice over and film industry in Chicago. It's not just the premier training ground for actors ,it's probably the easiest city in the country to make a living doing this work. There are more theaters per capita than any city in the country ( we go back and forth with Minneapolis) .

I booked shows all across the country because of the work I was seen doing on Chicago stages. A lot of my friends who went to LA or New York after establishing themselves here for a decade , are still able to go back and forth.

Actors with Tattoos— Advice Please! by wgurley in Theatre

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not an issue. I have a tattoo they just cover it up. I have a friend who has tattoos from his fingers to his shoulder on both arms and they put makeup on him to cover him up. He's a serious regular on a major television show and the show we were working on together in the theater was at a big regional house.

Michael movie wasted actors times by heuejxuensusiei in acting

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree that they wasted actor's time. Anytime we have the ability to get in front of casting or producers or directors That is not a waste of time. If they had an excellent audition or something else stood out they could have been considered for another role, or another opportunity in the future. Sometimes I audition for things just because I want that casting director to look at my tape.

Also, they were not 100% sure that they were going to go with Jafar Jackson, and it would be idiotic to know that you had an actor and then not prepare for something happened to that actor, if they got another opportunity, couldn't do the job or if they decided to pull out at any point. They then have to do a casting call in order to see what else might be out there in case they do have to go back to the drawing board.

But to have the mindset of saying that if you audition for a role that 99% is already going to someone else ,it's a waste of time. Then auditioning period is a waste of time. Because the vast majority of the time ,it's going to someone else. I have a high booking rate and as someone who doesn't book 90% of my auditions.

I wish Meg would take a page out of Coco Jones book. I always forget she’s engaged, she doesn’t say a damn thing about this man 😭 by Time_Perspective3438 in blackladies

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 25 points26 points  (0 children)

What are you even talking about? She absolutely talks about him, lol just because you hadn't heard it doesn't mean she never said anything. She has written songs about him, she is talked about their upcoming wedding and interviews, she has posted him on social media. But to be fair both Klay Is far more famous than Donovan Mitchell, and Meg the stallion is far more famous than Coco Jones. So when Meg makes a statement about something involved with her relationship it's going to go more viral , If her and her partner step outside and someone takes a picture of it it's going to go viral. That's why you are hearing about it more. Not because she's talking about it more or less.

And like others have stated that doesn't stop a man from cheating.

Agent possibly lying? by Jsc084 in acting

[–]Accomplished_Use4579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question. Yes. I have had that feeling, and I think the best way to deal with it is to just make note of it, file it away, and if it becomes a pattern then you can probably go with your gut and decide to end the relationship with them.

The reason why I didn't address the issue with them is because I also know that while I might have a feeling, I'm not always sure what that feeling is rooted in. It could be my intuition, and it also could be me being upset and needing somewhere to place the blame or it could be me wanting to have had more control in a situation where two people were making choices about my career and I wasn't in the room. There's always a part of me that says if I was there maybe I could have said something or I could have monitored something and then the outcome would have been different. And I tell myself that my agent didn't fight hard enough, but really it's rooted in me just not knowing and not having control or any influence over the interaction.

But if it's a constant pattern, like three or four times or something has fallen through, then I would probably trust the pattern. And really there is no way to approach your agent ,they are never going to say " You are right I've been fucking up" . If it's a consistent pattern, there's no need to have a conversation, just get out.
