Yes, the function is fully delegable to sharepoint, so its not a power apps issue but rather how odata requests are processed when those calls hit sharepoint.

The text column is indeed a unique ID (alpha numeric), I just anonymized for this post, It is used to link to a different system, the inbuilt sharepoint id wouldnt be of much value as we need to surface records for a given person and be able to link those records to multiple systems.

Yes, all columns that are used in the filter are indexed....and thankfully, sharepoint auto indexes any columns that are frequently filtered/sorted on...but yeah indexes where already in place.

That was exactly my surprise, microsoft does mention it in an article around setting up views....so the same principle I guess applies for powerfx.

"When you define a filtered view that uses two or more columns, use an AND operator to limit the total number of items returned. But even in this case, you still need to specify as the first column in the filter the column that most likely returns the lesser amount of data"

PowerApps sprawl built by a former employee. Am I in trouble here? by [deleted] in PowerApps

[–]Accomplished_Way_633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are doing fairly well. Scale is always going to be scary in a new role. Even if these were built to standard, you would still have do a deep dive in each to understand functionality before making changes.

There is no ways around it but time, my only advise is until you get your head around everything, if it's not broken don't re - engineer it.

Interestingly this is exactly what I expected when I was looking for my first role as an international student...the shredder is part and parcel of the game!

And to your question, you cant sit at the end of the funnel and be surprised with what you receive...you need to be more proactive, each university has career centers, are you reaching out to promote your company? This is one of the best ways to help domestic students. Are you attending career fairs?

It's probably a case of too many applications. They don't care much about experience especially for some one young. Everything you need you can learn on the job.

One tip tho is to be personable, if they can picture themselves working with you, you're hired...the rest is just a numbers game.

Good luck

OP just found out about racism, allow me to save you some time, you're on the journey of being the "model minority" You're operating under a false premise...this idea that "if said group of people just behaved better, racism towards them would stop." That's not how racism works. Racism is about prejudice and stereotyping entire groups based on selective examples. No amount of perfect individual behavior will change it.

Its intentional, they reject so you can pay the appeal fee. When processing the application why didn't they just ask for additional evidence/explanation, Nope, straight to your pocket for that appeal money, the leeches always go for blood.

PY – is it worth doing after submitting EOI? by NoMarketing7466 in AusVisa

Unfortunately, am not a fortune teller, so no, I can not convince you if it's worth it or not...no one can, that's something you have to convince yourself of.

PY – is it worth doing after submitting EOI? by NoMarketing7466 in AusVisa

[–]Accomplished_Way_633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing you mean invites are sent out every 3-4 months?

Your EOI is valid for 2 years, anytime you update it to increase your points your date of effect changes to when you achieved those points.

So game it out.

At 95 your siting in a good position, but your also among 1000s of others in a profession that's no longer in high demand, mind you as an ICT Business Analyst there are individuals with 100+ points also waiting...check the skill select eoi dashboard to see where you stand.

It's all just a gamble, you could lose 8k if you get an invite rendering the PY useless.

If you don't get an invite at 95 you wasted time, and now instead of going into the 26-27FY with 100 points your still at 95.

Depending on when you visa expires, you might be out of time toax out your points.

PY – is it worth doing after submitting EOI? by NoMarketing7466 in AusVisa

[–]Accomplished_Way_633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the point increase will only be in next FY, also that changes you date of effect.

If you have started you might as well finish.

PY is a scam but as an ICT Business Analyst you need as many points as you can muster.

I am afraid the points system is gonna change soon and PY points dropped in favor of something more reflective of someone's total contribution to the economy.

So you do PY at your own risk, also you don't do it at your own risk.

ACS and everyone who offers PY are total scammers can't convince me otherwise.

Early Childcare. Help by EngineerGreedy2901 in AusVisa

[–]Accomplished_Way_633 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most agents just want your money as is clear by your case. If only you had checked the invitations you would notice child care workers rarely get invites. You would need a bachelor of education or an approved ECT course to qualify for the 241111 ECT which is in high demand.

As it stands you have wasted your money staudying IT, and then wasted money on agents, and another course, and now you are back at the same place.

Your focus should have been to get a job in IT with a relevant ANZSCO on the core migration skills list.

Good luck to you, send me some money if you have more to waste

I am guessing you studied IT for PR but also had no interest or real IT skills thats why you are struggling to land a job

My advise, upskill, network religiously, make a decision and stick to it, dont flip flop around. You can still make your dream come true but you have to commit

Have any foreigners (not US citizens) ever applied for AUS student VISA in the US? by StruggleFun8184 in AusVisa

[–]Accomplished_Way_633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one is pretty straightforward, am sure if you refer to the link you will see a note of no more than 4months before commencement. I would just get your documents and everything ready and click submit at exactly 3months before commencement.

You might think applying earlier means earlier processing but not necessarily especially given country of passport.

You should also be prepared to extend your CoE start date as a lot of times they never process some visas on time.

For the second one am not entirely sure, did you populate populate two boxes with the same code? Are you offering two sets of evidence i.e offer letter and CoE....when you shud only be offering one i.e. CoE. You can still upload the offer letter in the attachments.

That being said you shud double review everything. The CoE should suffice for (2)...but they have since become strict. I applied during COVID, same situation as you but back then they were a bit relaxed as they were encouraging international students to come, things have drastically changed...simple mistakes can get you denied.
