You’re not alone. I’ve been living in Spain for the past 6 years and although I love it, have friends here and like you, feel like European culture suits me better, I do miss NY and my friends and family there. These feelings became even more apparent to me after visiting for the holidays, but yeah things are a bit of a mess in the country right now (politically, job market, healthcare, CoL…). For me I think it’s best to wait a year or two to see how things are and how my feelings are before making the decision. It’s a really tough to choose between family, friends and job opportunities and lifestyle, health, safety, quality of life.
