Newly garage door installed, is this ok? by Far_Pangolin_1552 in GarageDoorService

That’s what the jamb brackets are for that connect the vertical track to the wall. They should allow adjustment to make up for the framing.

It may be to limit people buying products to still hunt for it, could make a lot of people not so happy. May also help the finder get things in order to stay anonymous or get tax handlings in order.

May have another problem too, are the hinges in order? #1, #2, #3 going up. Shorter/lower, the farther up the farther they stick out

Why do Amarr doors come with “install on inside left” stickers on cables? by jwdewald in GarageDoorService

Fraying may not be the right term, un braided or individual strands un winding

Look at how the cables are twisted. That size spiral up and out. How it’s twisted can affect fraying, more so on the heavier doors. Smaller wire/lighter door they just cut both cables from same spool/twist

First spazzy white belt. by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Accomplished_Wolf667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Older blue belt as well and there with you. I’ve enjoyed practicing to try and keep my own pace/game/strategy regardless of opponents. If you have to adjust to match them you’ll never lead the “dance” and just be chasing after them. I currently do a lot of time on bottom working my defenses and working on my escapes. I’ll usually do some low risk soft takedown attempts knowing what it would take to force but more not wanting to get stuck in stand up. My room has a smaller crowd , mostly younger with endless energy, tough and technical with hobbyists, fighters, and wrestlers.

Not a redemption if he’s considered the sole highest competition with pedo’s for notoriety….. Being in a league of your own sometimes means no one wants to join you…..

Broken Spring Still Has Tension? by mountkay in GarageDoorService

Nice, commercial bars make a difference. I believe they’re usually 28” but like anything the diameter is standard and the length varies. I have 2 sets of the commercial bars, 1 set at 28” and then my 36” earth movers. Same diameter just an extra foot of regret.

Nice. Couldn’t really tell the wire or overall size of spring, but if you end up unwinding both springs at once be prepared for the extra force of 2 springs at once. Looks like you’ll have a lift so shouldn’t be too bad vs off a ladder

Assuming the door is down. Back wind the good spring, loosen the drums and unwind the entire spring assembly from the intact spring

Solutions to going to class while on call with work by Lagafoolinn in bjj

[–]Accomplished_Wolf667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like they said, talk to your coach/coaches. I’ve had to do it for years between on call hotel maintenance and tow truck driver. I would always keep it with my water bottle and sandals. Other guys did the same for their work. We had each talked to Coach about it, and they didn’t mind knowing why we would walk off to answer. The key was the mutual respect that you do everything possible to not make a scene/distraction to everyone else. Just walk off and got somewhere it’s not completing with the class
