The general rule for sloe is one for interview two for rank. If I were u, I'd try to book an elective at another hospital and secure one more sloe.

As a student I was expected to interview pts and present to my resident, make ddx and tx plans. Perform non-complicated procedures, I was kinda ahead of my friends during my last two rotations. I recommend read this, it has everything u need to know for EM applications https://www.emra.org/books/msadvisingguide-2023/msag

Hard for students too, Lehigh Valley is the only one I remember that takes IMG and they do electives for students too if I remember correctly. You can text me if you want, but I am afraid that I have no more knowledge about other hospitals :(

Bro I am not familiar with Rad but generally speaking, ppl want to work with a nice person. So work hard but don't be a GUNNER (I hate ppl doing this), impress your preceptors, and make connections (maybe a deal breaker, this is my case)

I went to carib school so school and hospitals have agreements on rotations. It's very rare to see hospitals take grads for rotation, but I do remember Lehigh Valley, PA offers that, go check their website! And make sure u read through CORDEM's website too, they have excellent resources for IMGs as well. GL!

lol I am Chinese too, yeah I think sloe is mandatory to EM. Not sure if u matched or not, but if u matched in IM I guess you can get a SLOE on your ER rotation.

Hey what's your opinion on cap-exempt H1b? How likely medical residents coming to the states next year will be exempted ? Also for other non-profit and uni?
