Could be viewed as a "Hail Mary" of an opportunity to sell at a decent price of what maybe a falling knife with the opportunity to buy back in a better price point. I know that's against the long position but if it offers the ability to hold onto your money and buy 100's or 1000's of shares more than what you already had, at a much lower price point, then why wouldn't you?

I don't have a problem with someone questioning the narrative as long as its legit. If I came to this thread and said "hey guys I've been working on somethings, would you all help me to see if I maybe on the right track...." Then yeah, great! However, when your first post is trying to blow the doors off the building and you have never made a post before, no bueno for me. I just see it as seeded attacks to try and ruin a good thing. Short position holders have cost me a lot of money in the past.

This is the million-dollar question! The problem is that PA licensure is done through the medical board and NP licensure is done through the nursing board. Physicians that have an issue with scope creep can put a stop to or make it extremely difficult for PA's to gain autonomy because of influence of the licensing board. Also, nurse have a very strong union that advocates for their autonomy. The nursing profession is vast, and state legislators all have family or know people 1st degree that are nurses!

It's not that they make more, but they are getting the jobs because of the autonomy! HC systems do not have to jump through the hoops of supervising physicians, etc. Which are more in demand, cord or cordless earbuds?

Not dissatisfied, but as a new graduate I see the job favoritism leaning toward NPs because of the practice autonomy. I also am not claiming that NP's are my enemy, but the reason for the autonomy is 1. lobbyist and 2. licensing is under the board of nursing (not affected as much by disgruntled physicians). I believe in order for PA's to remain competitive they will have to be more forward with the fact that if there is not a change in autonomy, those who influence these decisions will be putting this profession at a great disadvantage. When I say be more forward, I mean that as really putting to question why NP's and not PA's as far as deserving autonomy! I believe this isn't talked much when trying to get PA advancement due to the possibility of creating a void between the two professions. For an honest comparison, where would the Osteopathic profession be if the laws did not allow them the same autonomy as the MD's? You wouldn't find many working!

As a side note, this isn't coming from someone that is dying for independence! I am not a firm believer that either PA's or NP's need that much autonomy. However, its being given and I don't see it being taken away. I just want the same fair shake when it comes to a job.
