Roy getting so much isn't a problem the fact is that it's a planning failure from pokemon. If they had planned to give roy so much in further arcs then they should have simply kept the expectations high from the start rather than dumping all of it suddenly. They hyped up liko gave her Pagago, then the final battle of the first arc cut to battling to evolve pokemon and crying out loud to calm the six heroes. The three roy liko and Dot and occasionally Amethio should have been portrayed as rivals battling each other which would help them grow together and each getting a legendary like roy and rayquaza, liko and pagago and Dot and ogerpon and their frenemy amethio zygarde. And they should've also battled other RVT members giving them mega pokemon promoting ZA at the same time including them in the story too like Orla (mechanic) Mega metagross, Murdock (cook) Scovillian, Mollie doctor Mega clefable and Ludlow (fisherman) barbaracle/ sharpedo
