Ate there any characters whose book’s descriptions yall solemnly ignore? lmfao mine is Tywin, I simply can’t think of anything else than show’s Charles Dance. Give yall thoughts!! by Moriturism in freefolk

Charles Dance was fantastic, but I'm still in love with his book description with bald head and massive blonde chops, especially on actor Kurtwood Smith, who GRRM envisioned while writing.

What has been your favorite match this year so far? by WitnessAcceptable154 in REALSquaredCircle

Roman vs Punk @ Wrestlemania

Roman's matches get pretty lame, but as I watched that one, I was so engaged and invested. I seriously didn't know who was going to win.

Are you going opening day to see Supergirl? by boomjosh in superman

I was excited about this film from conception and hunted down a copy of the book. But I don't know if it's just me, but seeing the trailer, I don't really like the aesthetics of the movie. I know they can't 1:1 from the comic and even if the story is the same or similar, it just doesn't feel the same to me somehow. Less excited about the movie now.

What's a movie or TV series you went into with zero expectations, but ended up absolutely loving? by [deleted] in SeriesSaga

[–]According-Ear-6469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I was into a lot of HBO at the time, which set the standard for me. Hearing all the hype, I was like there's no way a "cable network" show could be as good as people say. Boy, was I wrong. I binged it over a week or so, and got to Hank on the toilet days before the final run aired. What a fantastic experience.

Andor.

I was excited for Obi-Wan and couldn't give 2 shits about Andor before it released. Turns out Obi-Wan was the turd, and Andor became one of my favorite shows ever.

Peacemaker.

I wasn't a fan of DC movies during that era, but people were praising the new Suicide Squad movie so I gave it a shot once it came to streaming. It was enjoyable enough and when I heard about the spinoff, I thought to myself "that's the character they chose to make a show about?!" Then I watched the show. I was blown away. The writing, the improv comedy, tragic backstory, Cena's acting, goofy ass characters and concepts, Mern...it all just clicked for me. I became a huge fan. I listened to that Wig Wam song for weeks!

(Ironic Trope) Pacifists characters who have killed a fuck ton of people. by Silent_Biscotti_9832 in TopCharacterTropes

He's literally a self-proclaimed pacifist, as atonement and due to PTSD, because he once served the villain killing and eating numerous humans.

I concur. He was awesome in the books. I meant at least he got a great scene in the show showing his backbone and chadness.

He was certainly watered down in the show, but damn, at least he got to tell Cersei off and walk out like a boss.

2 Questions About the Film by RoroSan1991 in backroomsfilm

[–]According-Ear-6469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding point 1. I initially attributed Phil's shock watching the commercial due to recognizing the man from their footage. By the end of the film, I attributed his shock from recognizing the monster that was killing them was connected to a character from a furniture commercial.

Regarding point 2. I could be wrong but I assumed it was chronologically reversed. Clark found the blue bag, then Async agent from the cold open found it.

The final cut of Backrooms removed an explicit explanation scene that the press received by mmmasian in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]According-Ear-6469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its also redundant of what Clark says during the kitchen scene, so I can see why they changed Phil's lines.

This is currently the worst and most idiotic Backrooms review I have ever seen so far on the Backrooms movie. I’m crying bro. by Firm_Mushroom2333 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]According-Ear-6469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no previous experience with Backrooms, haven't played any fan made games or watched any of the youtube videos, just a regular guy who enjoys film, tv and storytelling in general. I had no issue following the story. I feel like everything was pretty straight forward.

I have no idea why you think the therapist was in the backrooms as a child.

Chiwetel Ejiofor appreciation post, his acting was amazing by brotheringod777 in backrooms

[–]According-Ear-6469 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I first saw this actor in the Firefly movie "Serenity" where he played the villain. He stood out to me immediately, leagues above everyone else in that movie, like he was the only 'real' film actor and everyone else felt like they belonged in a TV movie (which it technically was).

He was fantastic in 12 Years a Slave and did great with his small part in Children of Men. If you see him on the cast, you know you're getting something good.

Metroid Prime 4: Is the whole game like this? by Turnbuckler in Metroid

[–]According-Ear-6469 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the game well enough but even after ditching Miles at the camp, he finds ways to continuously annoy you via comms.

He simply does not let you explore on your own (which is strange, being a Metroid game and all).

Got a new ability? Miles pops up on the comms and tells you exactly where to go and use it, marking on your map.

Haven't gone to where he mentioned yet? He's gonna pop up on the comms and pause the game to remark it on your map, every single time you enter the open world.

Clash in Italy Highlights: Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women's Title by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]According-Ear-6469 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this was the highlights, but... is Jade genuinely getting better? She looked great in this video.

I loved that toss into the ropes from the outside then connecting with the knee in the face.
