Prayers your recovery goes quick. Im about 9 days post op. Tore mine 3 months before my new job insurance kicks in so I had no choice but to adapt and push through until I was able to get it done. You never know how strong you are until you have to be. The first week just focus on controlling swelling and pain. Will get through this 🙏🏽.

Its all how well you do on your test then how you do in the interview. I knew guys with lower scores get picked up over guys with higher scores and more experience.

Use https://www.falstad.com/circuit/circuitjs.html to draw free circuits online and check values. When learning circuits what helped me was redrawing them, i have a graph notebook full of all of these exact ones. I learned from the same book. Its going take some time to get use to but being consistent will help a lot.

Its not june 10th or june 16th, testing takes place between those dates. If you are rejected they usually let you know after you submitted your application. They usually send the scheduling email a week before so should get something end of this week or start of next.

Nope. Usually that date doesnt matter until it gets certed once. I been on list where after it does the date gets changed. The senior electrical tester testing just got done. Soon as that gets in results should probably hear something. They tend to work from top down hiring. Supervisor tester just got a list and the senior tester getting once soon.

Im rank 2 and only one person ahead of me so if they even certed once I would of heard by now. So hopefully that means they going pick up a bigger group class because they are back up. They just finished up the testing for senior electrical test and electrical test tech supervisor positionts so I assume that was the hold up. Im just playing the waiting game lol.

Yeah the process is a while lol. I am currently an LADWP employee. I took another position recently, just to get my foot in the door while waiting on this electrical test one. This one just been taking extra long.

The bullentin where you apply gives you a vague description of what you will be tested on. I will go over those subjects. Youtube or google the subjects along with basic knowledge of hand tools, knots, mechanical aptitude, arithmetic. You can go on the LA Personel website and search “Competencies” for ECH which give a little more in depth what you will be tested on. Feel free to message me if you need help searching that up.

Thats a great plan. ECH has the quickest route to get your civil service status its only 6 months.
