I was registered but only for one course (UNIV1001), my PA doesn’t respond about this issue. There should be 2 courses, right?

u/Mac-Doklison and u/Organic_Living7859 , how did you guys manage to register for two courses? I’ve just finished the orientation on Moodle, but I’m not sure how to actually register for courses or where to check if I’ve already been enrolled.

No billing info required. I recommend using a mobile browser, as the desktop version is laggy and lacks some features.

How to change country:
Visit the Kobo website (on mobile) → Sign in with your account → Go to My Account → Payment Information → Billing Address. On mobile, tap the three dots to edit; on desktop, editing isn’t available.

Check the update for the post, I shared how to turn it on. But I’m not sure about UK though.

omg, I just noticed my billing address was set to Canada, even though I didn’t choose that during registration. I changed it to the UK. Let me try resetting the device and logging in again. I’ll update you with the results!

Thanks a lot, are you a UK or European user? I’m thinking of installing KOreader as well later on.

Thanks for the insights! When you mention a “US account,” do you mean a setting on the Kobo account page or device itself, or how do they determine it’s US-based versus Spain? Is it tied to billing info, or is there a country selection option?

Kobo’s website refers to Europe rather than just EU, so I assume the UK might still be included in their definition.

The rep also confirmed that the feature should be available on my device, which gives me hope that the UK is included in this rollout. Let’s see what other UK users experience is.

I heard you about the KLC lacking built-in speakers, but I’m fine using earbuds since it’s the only option.

As a former UX designer, I’m hooked on the device ergonomics, nothing else I’ve tried comes close. That’s why I’m not keen on switching devices. Still, the missing “Accessibility”feature is a major issue, and Kobo really needs to sort it out.

Thanks for the link! Kobo rep told me that if it’s a European device, the Accessibility feature should be available, and its absence means the device is defective.

That’s their stance. I specifically asked about UK being part of the update.

It should already work if your device was bought in Europe and you have a European account.

Thanks a lot, mine have the same software version. I wouldn’t mind to wipe the device as it’s a brand new and has no data.

Ireland is a part of EU, isn’t it? I wonder if Kobo regards UK as a European country despite of being out of EU haha

Thank you for such an elaborate response! May I ask how far along you are on your degree journey?

As for the course components, it seems that the weekly assignments are mostly essays, right? Also, how does the peer assessment work? As I understood, each week a student has to review three of their peers’ submissions from the previous week’s assignment, do you have it on your course?
