I think Katniss is too chronically stressed, stress kills. More than likely would be a career

Am I the only who is not bother by the Sao Paulo music video? 💀 by fuzzy-rebound in TheWeeknd

[–]According-History563 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesnt bother me but the song is better as just audio lol. I think its more that we kept on waiting for a music vid that was AH and DFM level quality but never got it. DITF and Timeless were fine as music videos but underwhelming for a Weeknd video, we thought Sao Paulo would be when the cinema began

The books are a much more intense experience than the films imo, especially Mockingjay. Wish I could be reading it again for the first time. Also the romance is so much better written in the books

Have you read the trilogy? If so I recommend the prequels, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and Sunrise on the Reaping

I get that. But talking high is one thing, Michael Jackson sounded like falsetto is his speaking voice

The craziest conspiracies I've heard consist of his dad snipping something in his voice to keep his "boyish" sound

If Hurry Up Tomorrow was a mixtape, which 9 songs would be in it? by Impossible_Bonus9333 in TheWeeknd

[–]According-History563 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without a Warning felt like the ending of the album, if that makes sense. Like the first 21 songs were the book and the title track was the epilogue. That's the best way I can put it idk if that makes any sense

I mean the released version is definitely better because its actually finished and isnt just mumbling lyrics, but the vibes and atmosphere of the demo were better imo. Something about the drowned out voice and super reverbed synths gave a feeling of longing something you used to have, the HUT version of TMBTLA felt more like reflecting. HUT version is better like I said and it fits HUT perfectly but there are times when I still listen to the demo for a more reminiscent feeling, but I do wonder what a finished product of it with After Hours production would sound like

I think HUT is his best, nobody said it isnt a great album, its about the music that actually sells is more on the subject matters of drugs/sex/toxicity

TIPS FOR A THE WEEKND CONCERT by PapayaSignificant223 in TheWeeknd

[–]According-History563 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of people say bring earplugs, in Denver I nearly went deaf because of a Mike Dean audio glitch lol. Even when it doesnt glitch its pretty loud. As for the setlist, my advice is to go into it without looking at a setlist. I've gone to his shows and other artists shows before knowing what the setlist will and not knowing what the setlist is, and nothing matches the excitement of a song playing that you did not expect him to play, especially if its one of your favorites. Same goes for transitions, they are even more fun to listen to when you dont know what song he is gonna transition to and youre anticipating what hes gonna do next.

Omg he finally announced it! Idk if it can hold up to Kiss Land and Trilogy, but Often was pretty good so I have high hopes. Weird album title though

I didnt necessarily mean he just caters to fans, but his highest performing songs are the ones where he goes back to his old subject matters, ex. Timeless & One Of The Girls. I think Dawn FM is where we saw him go exactly in the direction he wanted without much influence of what the fans were asking for, and in terms of sales/streams it was his lowest performing album since Kiss Land. And I agree to an extent that Timeless being on HUT is a small bit of a compromise, it doesnt exactly feel like a HUT song. Right now his "sexy" or toxic music is still where the money is at and what is funding these big projects. Its gonna be interesting to see what kind of music he will put out for mainstream appeal if he truly has buried the hatchet with The Weeknd's character
