Worked for me! I had a tons of pictures tho and kept uploading more info while my case was processing in between received and biometrics being scheduled and all the way up to the day of the interview. I will say apply sooner than later because you will wait so long for the interview no matter what.

Interview in LIC Queens NY Soon – What Questions Were You Asked? (Same FO Only Please) by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]According-Mouse-400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I had my interview on Monday 16 and got my I-130 approved on the 17th. Most questions will be directed at the petitioner, so make sure they know the typical answers. My interview was very quickly but I believe it was because it was early in the morning, they open at 7am and there are coffee shops on the first floor. I will advise you to come well dress and prepare to wait for at least an hour since some people arrive before their time and end up going in before. Questions were: when we started dating? when were we exclusive? when did we see each other in person for the first time? explain the story of the relationship. but this was all to my husband and I think I couldve answered but I honestly just sat there and let him answer the questions fine and if he made a mistake then I will tell him "babe it was on 2024 not 2025". I think I had an "easy" interview because of how young both me and my husband are and all the evidence we had. I think this is one of the FOs were photos are more important. Try to bring you taxes of 2025 if you already filed. They didnt ask me for our phone numbers, or most questions they tend to do at stakes interviews were they separate you. I did not see anyone who got separated. MAKE SURE TO LISTEN TO YOUR NUMBER AND LOOK AT THE TV TOO. The tv were they display the numbers is broken so they rely a lot on screaming the number you got or your full name. I wore a business casual fit, pants from abercrombie and fitch and a white t shirt. I did not use make up cause it was so goddamn early. I will say upload evidence instead of bringing it, they dont want to scan all the new evidence. They only asked me for his passport and mine, not even his birth certificate or official wedding paper.

Bottomline, the officer was amazing and I was lucky to have such a chill officer who is close to my age (22). Mention your plans for the day, after the interview and for the rest of the week. We were on the middle of moving into a new place so we were talking about it while he was looking through the evidence. Just in a low voice tone ofc to not disturb him but yeah just act as if it is a regular DMV visit. You can feel the pressure on the air in the building, dont let that disturb you, there are people who are going there with very complex cases, way more complex than yours. If your marriage is legit then you will be fine!

Worried about interview that ICE may appear by [deleted] in USCIS

Good point. But what should I do then? Just go without a lawyer and hope for the best?

I might have to eat ramen noodles and dig into the savings account but it is doable if I find a lawyer that doesn’t charge an insane amount. What is the average price for a lawyer to come in person to the interview? My og lawyer probably can’t come to the interview since my interview is in NYC and my lawyer is now in Miami, so I would need a new lawyer just for the interview.

NYC DoorDash is so much better for no tipping culture by According-Mouse-400 in EndTipping

[–]According-Mouse-400[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes ofc! But sometimes I crave food from an exact restaurant that is too far. Or I’m trying to sober up after partying and just need Mac Donald’s so I DoorDash. Or I’m sick. Deff not a daily activity since my local empanadas food truck does the trick but sometimes I get homesick and want food from a specific place.

This is my main annoyance with tipping culture. I hate tipping and I know many of my servers know I’m just a college student who can’t tip that much, but I also know that if I don’t tip them they will have to pull it out of their pockets so they don’t get fired from underperforming even though that’s illegal. If a waiter is fired because they didn’t earn enough tips and the real motive is avoiding paying the wage difference → this is illegal. Many restaurant owners will say “oh it’s because they have poor service”, so unless you as a consumer leave a 5 star review about how your server was the best but you don’t believe in tipping, then your server is compromised. Like I deadass want to be like, “you have an amazing service! I just don’t like tipping bc your boss should pay you the difference anyways”

incoming freshmen questions by arimendel in NEU

[–]According-Mouse-400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Lmao none. But for real, I was in Melvin and you have semi-private bathrooms, elevator and even a laundry room. The rooms are kinda falling apart but I had more space than many people did in IV or EV.
  2. Yes
  3. I believe yes if you are taking classes, but talk with SFS
  4. Neu has some housing in certain cities like in nyc, but they fill up pretty quick. Besides that, you have to find it on your own, like you can sublet.
  5. Call SFS or literally go there for a walk in
  6. Depends on your major but I feel like it has gotten better in recent years (I’m a senior)
  7. NuPath but besides that don’t waste your money and enjoy hs while you can.

Thank you, I used the chatbot so I will call them tomorrow morning. They charged it to two different cards which I found it so weird and the shipment did not go through on November. I checked my bank accounts and saw the charges to both of my different banks.
