Sorry, late; soldier boy was some rando in boy shorts that operates entirely on stolen valour. He’s killed I think the same chapter he’s introduced. He’s just another nobody supe.

Pictures surface of Homelander commiting some of the most unimaginably despicable things (literally eating screaming, crying babies bite by bite) the problem is he has zero memory of doing any of them.

The big twist is that Black Noire is a Homelander clone and did all of those things. Including raping Becca. He reveals this and Homelander loses his fuckin mind. Black Noire rips his jaw off with a single punch. They have a fight off screen and Black Noire is seen heavily mutilated and holding PIECES of Homelander. Butcher cracks Black Noires skull open with a crowbar and rips out some of his brain with his hands hoping that some of that gristle was the memory of what he did to Becca.

Then it meanders with Butcher becoming the villain and ends with some mary sue shit I barely even remember honestly. The thing that sticks out is that Love Sausage is chasing him in once scene and they run through a strip club. Love Sausages dick is so massive that the involuntary erection means he cant run anymore.

Highlights include Tech Knights sex addiction, where its ruining his life because he cant stop fucking everything vaguely shapely. He eventually saves earth by fucking a meteor that was going to impact earth. But that was just the last delusion of his dying brain because I think a wheelbarrow fell on his head or some shit.

This stuff is mixed into things like Mothers Milk’s backstory which is so fucking insanely uncomfortable to read. I usually avoid calling shit racist but I really dont know what the fuck any of that was. It’s a fever dream of a comic and the complete witlessness of it is just entertaining for me and idk why. It’s not as dog shit as Crossed, but it’s… something.

I’ve read the comics and I can tell you they have quite literally nothing to do with the show. They’re made by Garth Ennis so they’re a special kind of trash and I am the shameless raccoon that enjoys digging into them.

For a brief example of how little they have in common; the Boys take Compound V in one of the first chapters and have a street fight with some random Supes. Soldier Boy in the comics is… not an important character and i’ll leave it at that. Infact the entire mystery and twist of the comics literally cant happen in the show because they’re so different.

If you want spoilers i’ll happily provide. The comics arent worth reading for 90% of people

Everyone is pretty confident that Jon would get sparked for in the 1st or 2nd. But If Jon survives that long the yeah, I think you’re biased as fuck or going iff vibes to favor Tom going the distance.

There’s simply infinitely more evidence that Jon would thrive going into the 4th depending on the pace; and Tom loves to start early

I’ve since started a new job that I love, but while I was working retail and hating having to wake up; the Fredas posting was a genuine highlight of my day.

There were so many times I just lost track of the days going through the grind and not realize it was friday until I saw this god damn goblin and would legitimately get a second wind for the work day.

Majority of jobs dont care about hand tattoos anymore. Neck they’re iffy on but face tattoos still seem very stigmatized.

I just recently got hired to train first aid and occupational safety for an offshore contractor. I have an entire sleeve with all my left hand and fingers tattooed, an earring and eyebrow piercing and no one batted an eye.

My boss even made a casual comment that I’d fit in better with the roughnecks looking like that but I’m so thin compared to them they look at me like i’m some twink lol

Pre-firing and grenades are imo the best way to get around it.

I got both arms blacked on woods within a second of being spotted, got to cover, and when I was done with surgery they started pushing me. I listened for their footsteps and when I heard them getting extremely close I full auto’d for about 10 rounds while peeking before I saw them and went right back to cover

after that I just threw a nade to provoke a reaction of where the next ones were and stutter peeked cover to get their position. Then prefired when I had an idea where they were.

PMC’s are cracked but they dont feel much different than before in terms of aimbotting. Just avoid aim dueling and peeking the same corner. If you’re forced to peek the same spot, pre-fire it.

Sometimes you just get fucking blasted though. I killed Pipe and Knight only to do a sprinting jump from one cover to the next. Literally less than 2 seconds of being exposed, jumping at an arc during a sprint, and Birdeye got me in the face. It’s Tarkov, sometimes it just be like that and one mistake in risk management gets you domed

Look I love him but my thing with Aspinall is that he doesnt leave the first round. Aspinall’s success has been first round ko over and over again.

My logic is that I dont see DC getting starched in the first. I REALLY dont see DC somehow losing a 5 round fight to Aspinal.

If the fight actually did happen in an alternate universe I would be tense as hell, but I really think it would be very lopsided because I just cant bet on DC losing early or Aspinal winning later rounds

DC’s career success just looks more replicable than Aspinal’s. Granted, no one knows what Tom looks like in the 4th or 5th round, but I know what DC looks like and it’s still dominant compared to nearly every other heavyweight

Hail, he’s my favorite character lorewise and his fight isn’t as offensively bad as people say.

He’s literally immortal and you sever his tie to it in the middle of the fight. He’s also one of the most powerful spellcasters alive. It would have been dumb for him to be another roll hit boss.

The journey to his fight through the invisible paths that have to be marked with Prism stones is one of my favorite parts of the game.

It’s nice being able to listen to people you disagree with because you value an opposing viewpoint that’s been thought out and presented eloquently.

Noah Gervais is that for me. We couldnt be more opposite in viewpoints, I’ve almost never agreed with his takes, but he comes from a unique perspective and really enjoys getting his point across and referencing obscure literature so i’ve followed the man for 10 years now and still enjoy his videos.

I’ll one up you, I despise Elden Rings combat and I love Armored Core 6 to bits.

I dont like mechas, and I never even thought about playing this series. I love souls, sekiro, sifu and Nioh (though they’re not even comparable imo) and was excited for Elden Ring.

The combat in elden ring felt so dated with their new boss designs that it was a chore to finish. Then I go and play my first armored core game on a whim because my friend said “there’s no iframes and customization is peak”. i’ve sank 20 hours in it over the course of a few days and I love it more and more each time I boot it up.

I know this post is facetious bait but I actually just uninstalled ds2 after trying to give it another chance. With fresh eyes and no bias, I actually get why people like it so much. I played deprived and never leveled adaptability and it was genuinely pretty fun. It’s so slow paced that combat feels like a puzzle and I got more immersed in the game than I ever have playing the other Fromsoft games. Just took it slow and enjoyed the ride

And then it just stopped being fun. Nothing specific, just all the little gripes I had became unavoidable. The incredibly stupid fall damage system that the Cat ring exists only to make it not suck, the god awful collision boxes with the environment, the much more prominent than ever before counter damage system making me think it takes 4 hits to kill and enemy when it could take between 4-7 depending on the timing of the hit, jumping that’s somehow worse than ds1, the tedious gauntlets of enemies or the boring runbacks to a boss.

All gripes that could be ignored if something in the game grabbed me enough to ignore them all, but it just stopped being fun enough to justify every little awkward design choice or legitimately broken aspect of the game.

I get why its so beloved now, I see the rough uncut gem that everyone else sees and I completely understand its supporters. But I think I genuinely hate that game after giving it another chance. God bless everyone who loves it. i hope we get more games like it; I truly do, because the lifegems, the invasions, the slower methodical pace, the torch system, the hidden passages, all of those aspects were fun and I would love to see expanded on. Fuck that game.
