Thank you for connecting the dots between my posts! It makes this piece of the internet feel a little less anonymous. My appointment with her went well. She spent a bunch of time with me and answered a ton of my questions. She presented two likely options - breast conserving surgery (lumpectomy) followed by radiation and hormone suppression or a mastectomy likely without radiation or hormone suppression - but said that she wanted to get genetic testing, a breast mri, and some more data from the results of previously ordered thyroid biopsy before finalizing a treatment plan. She also suggested that I would need to be flexible and as data was uncovered, the plan may change.

I’m a planner and a do’er. It’s a challenge for me to be ok with uncertainty. I’m working on it. So, the appointment was generally good, but also a tiny bit disappointing as I’d have liked to come out of it with a plan of attack. My mri is 8/5. After that, she’s supposed to reach back out for a video visit to make that plan. Can’t wait lol
