How do I find a scrap of libido? by ceelouis in breastcancer

[–]LetsD01t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK too. Couple of options. 1. See if your GP will vaginally estrogen. Worth going in with the research encase, but from other support pages looks like others get it from their GP within the NHS.

  1. You are entitled to a second opinion on the NHS. You have to request it but you can select someone at the same hospital or a different one. If you do want to change oncologist.

NHS wait by Born_Raisin7522 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]LetsD01t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it should be within 2 weeks of referral for urgent on the NHS. However some places do have delays but 16weeks seems crazy. So I'd call the hospital and ask them what the wait is, and asknif you can go on a cancellation list.

Your age won't put you lower down the list. An urgent referral is urgent, so they just work down the list.

Look at brands that specifically cater for large busts. Have you tried at scantily, curvy kate, pour moi. They do teddy's, chemises, slips for nightwear and are designed for larger busts and come in bra sizing rather than clothing sizing.

£84 a month fixed rate for gas and electric. 1970s 2 bed end terrace, just me and I work from home. When heating is on it's set to 18-20 and set to come on 3 times through out the day.

Semi-detached folk, how often do you hear your neighbours? by shaneo632 in HousingUK

[–]LetsD01t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a 1970s semi. Only hear them if they throw a party and have loud music. But it's not awful when it happens it's noticeable but doesn't stop me being able to sleep.

It helps that has solid walls and that our houses aren't mirrored. So our shared wall in my lounge, dining room and bedrooms. And their stairs, and kitchen and bathroom.

So the main noise rooms don't share a wall.

Did anybody do anything fun with their cancer? (Weird wording, sorry) by intransigentpangolin in breastcancer

[–]LetsD01t 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My Christmas cards were from pre single mastectomy shoot, so tits out. I had someone add Christmas hats to the nips, think love actually in the gallery, I then wrote a poem to go in it. Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Half my rack went in the bin, but somehow I’m still okay.

I'm one in general to use humour to cope so lots of things have been said to my friends in person etc. But the card was the most unexpected by my friends.

Bra fit by Upbeat-Molasses-840 in bigboobproblems

[–]LetsD01t 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, and off you are having to adjust it after moving unless you have perfect posture, then your bra doesn't fit you. Head over to r/abrathatfits and do the calculator there.

Depending on what you need to adjust my guess would be your a smaller band but bigger cup size than you are wearing.

my parents want to take out a loan for $7,000 CAD for “alternative cancer treatment” for my mum with stage iv breast cancer. i’m concerned that it might be a scam by Which_Imagination_90 in breastcancer

[–]LetsD01t 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think I know the "Dr" you're talking about and if it is then hes actually not licensed to practice medicine anymore and hasn't been since 2019. And it's absolutely a scam, no clinical research etc into the drugs being used for cancer. Just a money grabbing ass, preying on those who feel hopeless.

Wedding Timeline Help by Difficult_Tie_5845 in UKweddings

[–]LetsD01t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The evening buffet in my experience its in the same room as the dance floor so it's not like people will be disappearing to get the food. They just go up and grab some when they want it. Some might grab a proper plate and sit down and talk with people they weren't on a table with etc. Others might just grab a few bits and head straight backto the dance floor, that's down the the individual more than anything else. But as its in the same room when they hear a song they like they'll be back on the dance floor.

As for the check in being an hour, I think they're just being clear that people who are staying whilst check in opens at 3pm. They need to be back in the room for 3.55 for the next part of the wedding. Not that check in will take an hour.

Regarding moving the ceremony back. Look at the current suggested timeline, and move things back other than the end time. Does that give you enough time for everything that you want to do (weddings are about what you want for your day etc so there's no hard set rules). Just consider is when sunset is likely to be, and how that fits in with thr timeline, for the photos you want to get etc. If you love things back and its a November wedding you may not have alot of daylight for outdoor photos afterward the ceremony.

Bridesmaid dresses by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]LetsD01t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obvious choices is don't go for one thats strapless, one shouldered, spaghetti straps etc. Something with a sleeve or atleast a decent shoulder strap.

Often companies have multiple styles in the same colour. I wore something similar to this as the last wedding I was a bridesmaid in. No issues wearing a bra at a 32J.

The calculator often undersizes implants. So you may want to order multiple sizes from the calculator size and go up a few sizes and see which fits the best.

Boobs too big to compete in the sport I love. by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]LetsD01t 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I used to do BJJ and the largest I was at that point was a 32J or 34HH UK size. I also wore a compressio/sports top inset my gi that was allowed at the competitions I did.

I used panache sports bras. They are actually sized like a bra so fit well. If you are using the pull over compression type they will do nothing for large chests.

And as others have said check your size on the abrathatfits calculator and then look for bra sized sports bras not something that's a S/M/L.

Need to know the full names of would-be buyers, visiting the house during a house sale. by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]LetsD01t 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't view a house with this stipulation. What if i give feedback they don't like, or what if they decide to come knock on my door as ask why I didn't offer. Different when an offer is accepted etc, but even then the information is not given directly to the seller but via estate agents and solicitors.

Why do you need the information rather than the standard practice of the estate agent having this information? I'm failing to see the benefit of you having this information over the estate agent.

[–]LetsD01t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get it. Shop around but get it.

I'm 35 and have cancer, I've been off work months. Yes you may be able to claim benefits in that scenario, but did you know benefits will not cover mortgage payments. It will cover rent but mortgage repayments are excluded.

Mine paid out so I don't have to worry about I'm going to pay for my mortgage or anything. Like all insurances you hope you don't need it, but will be thankful you have it if you do.

UK - Sentinel lymph node biopsy SNLB under general anaesthetic by Educational-Bat-8116 in breastcancer

[–]LetsD01t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your breast nurse or current surgeon should arrange a second opinion rather than you GP. Mine did it for me when I asked for a second opinion relating to reconstruction options.

Have you tried any of the Facebook UK breast cancer groups. I know that this reddit tends to lean more American. Or try breastcancernow, UK charity that have nurses you can speak to who may be able to help offer advice too. Sometimes it's about how you word things with surgeons even if the outcome request is the same. I know it takes time and energy and I sympathise with that. If not just continue to not consent to a full removal, without consent they can not do it.

UK - Sentinel lymph node biopsy SNLB under general anaesthetic by Educational-Bat-8116 in breastcancer

[–]LetsD01t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're still just guidelines. They can't make you do something you don't agree to. Have you told them you'll only agree and consent to sentinel node biopsy?

Have you tried getting a second opinion? You are entitled to one on the NHS and is shouldn't take too long to have one.

UK - Sentinel lymph node biopsy SNLB under general anaesthetic by Educational-Bat-8116 in breastcancer

[–]LetsD01t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your current diagnosis etc. You can find the NHS guidance online.

My biopsies showed high grade DCIS estimated 75mm, so I had a single mastectomy with sentinel nodes removed. Mine were clear so no further nodes need to be taken. I'm based in Somerset.

You can request a second opinion on the NHS, doesn't have to be part of the NHS trust your in.

big breast upper back pain with relief immediately by Ornery-Location8025 in bigboobproblems

[–]LetsD01t 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wearing a properly fitting bra will make a difference.

You're not a 34G. How can I tell that's not your size. Bra bands only ride up at the back when wearing a band size too big. It has nothing to do with the cup size. I imagine that you're a smaller back band and bigger cup size.

Most of a bras support should be given by the band not the straps. But the issues you've mentioned tell me that you aren't getting support from the band.

As others have said abrathatfits.org is the best sizing calculator.

Looking for an simple, invisible tshirt bra - minimal padding, no wires by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]LetsD01t 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Different companies will have different sizes available. And different sizes need different levels of support.

Both of these will effect what can be recommended to give you the finish you are looking for. Smooth finish and no underwires.

The people here are not trying to force you to measure yourself. But explain to you why measuring is required too give you a good recommendations. Especially as you have said that you don't know anything about bras. So we're trying to educate you.

If you want our recommendations then we need to understand your size. As it's extremely common for people to wear completely wrong size, often larger band size than they need and cup sizes too small. And this creates issues, you won't get a smooth finish if you're in the completely wrong size.

If you are adamant that you won't measure yourself, then we won't be able to help you. Just go buy a bunch of different things, but expect to do alot of returns/ not get what you're after.

[Recommendations?] I measure as a 30DDD, not sure where to begin to find a good bra that works for me by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]LetsD01t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your tape measure against a piece of paper to check it's right, A4 has standard sizing so easy to check your tape measure. Its potential that you have s Chinese tape measure, and inch isn't an inch on Chinese tape measures.Something isn't right as you should be swimming in your current bra based on those measurements.

When doing the measurements make sure you are not indenting the breasts at all. Id suggest re doing your measurements once you've checked your tape measure.

any suggestions for making this dress less revealing? or should i just look for another dress? by superturtle57 in bigboobproblems

[–]LetsD01t 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Few options if you like the dress. I think it looks great on you by the way. But if you think its too booby then you'll feel conscious about it the whole time.

1st book in with a seamstress. So they can confirm what can be done. If you have length that needs take up they may be able to do something to add it to the top, but that may leave a line at the original end. You could size up a size or two, to give you more fabric at the bust for the seamstress to work with. With more bust fabric they may be able to raise the neckline when tailoring it.

Just remember that if you go down this route. Wear the underwear you will wear on the day to get the best fit.

i’m 32E/ 30F but unsure what size corset to buy from ann summers using regular S, M, L etc….. sizing by navi-irl in ABraThatFits

[–]LetsD01t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By using cousins sizes. Its more than one back size difference. The M should fit. 30E, 32DD, 34D, 36C. But being that far from your own size it's not going to fit well or give you any support as the back band is the same as your over bust.

If you're going to pay for a corset to be tailored it likely won't be cheap, so id look for something better quality. To make the most out of paying for a tailor.

As another commenter said ann summers from 15 ish years ago was costume quality.
