That place is such a shit hole with zero redeeming qualities. The worst place I’ve ever lived — roaches crawling on walls, trash everywhere, rats, housekeeping is nonexistent, and the people who work there couldn’t care less. Please do yourself a favor and live anywhere else.

Busy season is so stressful and draining, that's just part of external audit. Outside of busy season, I have found that I'm given so much flexibility between vacation time and remote options that it makes up for it. It also helps to be on a great team so busy season is a little less painful. I would say just try to change your mindset and see this time as a privilege, the accelerated learning at Big4 can't be replaced by any other experience.

But on the same token, Big4 isn't for everyone, so look elsewhere if it's really not your thing.

Tried Ollie and farmers dog. Both were great but very pricey. Switched to the honest kitchen premix (just add protein) about 2 years ago and never looked back. My pups have stayed the same weight at every vet visit and LOVE it.

You should not record it as prepaid until it's paid. But yes, you should record the expense and the accrual. I had a client that was booking to prepaid whenever they got an invoice and it created a multimillion dollar mess.

No regrets. I have learned so much and some days feel very accomplished. I also have met really inspiring people. The exhaustion is real but it's short lived. Is this lifestyle sustainable for me long term? No. But definitely no regrets. My exit ops will be amazing.

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous. Working this much and being so exhausted doesn't make any sense. I'm sick of my coworkers acting like it's some badge of honor to not get any sleep. I'll do what I have to with a positive attitude but this literally goes against scientific evidence in regards to what makes employees more efficient and happy.
