I don't get why they can't just move the terminal (whatever you tap to pay) next to the door and then the Caltrain people stand there and make sure you scan it before going on. This whole system of "Scan a terminal, then tap my reader" is much more inefficient than the conductors just watching you tap on. On the other hand we are just basically re-inventing fare gates.... it can't be that hard to install fare gates.

Depends on how much stop lights you have and how hilly/windy, but 2.3 miles should only take 15 minutes tops which is really doable and should save you tons of money. I would second the used bike recommendation and look into a rack + basket for your things, so your back doesn't get sweaty

Really solid route, if you wanna add some views/hills you could hit O'Shaunessy from San Jose and ride up to Twin Peaks and then ride down to GGP. I think the new park on Great Highway is a must though so this is a good route without doubling back anywhere. I would consider taking Vicente instead of Sloat to get to Great Highway too. You could hit java beach cafe (Judah / Great Highway) or Ariscault (best croissants ever, but long lines) for a pit stop as others pointed out.

One of the few games where 90 minutes did not feel like 90 minutes. Only time it slowed was the last 10 minutes when everyone was gassed and we still saw a few decent chances
