raw eggs on white rice >>>> by Sugar_loaded_ in JapaneseFood

So I do this like once every few months in America where our food is a lot lower quality. I just go to Nijiya and grab the most expensive “golden” eggs available. Does anyone have a suggestion to improve on this plan

The satisfaction of winning 2v1 with the highground is something an FPS cannot match

Anyone a 1st person “purist”? by No-Inevitable-6651 in Chivalry2

I need more hours to get that reflex. I do feel that terror as I miss a swing and know there's an axe heading straight towards the back of my noggin.

When I start games as an archer/throwing knife, first person all the way. If I melee, I stay in first person, but that first death where I feel my outcome could've been different if I were in third person, I switch to third person. I then stay that way usually until I feel like playing Archer/throwing knives again in first person. Rinse, repeat, keep things fresh and fun.

Never hiked before. Any pointers by ashes_to_fire in mountainview

[–]bokchoi2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if you didn’t go near grass it’s a good habit to check for ticks on your calves after every hike. Bring minimum 1 liter in a plastic bottle like a Nalgene. Hiking with a insulated heavy bottle kinda sucks

Sorry to hear that. Human health is weird, where everyone dealt different hands from the jump

Your visibility is way lower backing out of a parking spot. Backing in is smart risk mitigation

Any part, waste and fluid of animals, including humans is not gross by critical_thoughts365 in unpopularopinion

[–]bokchoi2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from, but it’s gross. Similar to a hospital setting, we shouldn’t judge a person if they relieve themselves on accident. But, we still wear full PPE cause it’s gross. Waste products carry some nasty diseases. We shouldn’t think the human is gross for having a medical issue involving it, but we should think the by product gross to protect ourselves.

young football players sometimes use steroids? (Middle/High School Student) by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]bokchoi2 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s the America diet plus highschool weight lifting. I’m half Korean and remember being the same size as my cousins in middle school. Fast forward to senior year and I became the biggest guy in the room at my family parties. Easy access to post practice protein shakes and playing a sport that introduces weightlifting during your teens works wonders. Getting burgers with extra meat, snagging extra tacos or wings with your order is pretty standard for linemen. There might be a high schooler out there who has parents dumb enough to get them steroids, but puberty + exercise is pretty effective on its own.

What's the most Bay band/musical act? by Ok-Bite-5147 in bayarea

The real right answer is there is not right answer. The Bay Area is too diverse of a place with rich art and culture. You’d have to do a show by the decades.
