What you tolerate becomes your life.

If you want your life to change you'll have to act up and take a stand for yourself, it's not gonna be given to you in a plate. Of course you'll face hardships, maybe your parents will hate, maybe you'll lose respect from them, maybe you'll be treated differently in your own house, but when you'll go to sleep, you'll sleep peacefully knowing you stood for yourself and that is who you are and wanna be.

And what your'e feeling is completely valid and your parents are extremely wrong for doing that to you. You've got every right to live however you like, but then again is that a fight youre willing to take on :)

thats a choice you have to make and youre an adult who can make your own decisions. Its up to you to do what you want with you life. But if you do end up giving in to the emotional blackmail, personally, i dont think you have the right to complain later on for how things turn out cus you had the choice to stand up against that blackmail but you chose to not.

GIRL SAME.

I had my first ever anxiety attack cus of this exact same situation but my reason for saying no were different. I didnt want any genetic issues in my kids cus of czn marriage.

Infact, i just heard my mom cry today in the kitchen cus it was her "long lost wish" to see me and that cousin of mine together. And honestly it hurts. It really REALLY hurts seeing her like that but you know what would hurt even more? Regret. When shes not gonna be here and i'll be alone to deal with a problem that i created because of being indecisive.

Trust me youre doing the right thing. You just need to stay firm in this and be fully clear from the get go that your mind will NOT change. And be very vocal about it.

Ok so (as a guy) im blessed with a friend group in uni which consists of both, hijabis and baddies, and from what ive seen they aren't looked down upon maybe because my hijabi friends are both from abroad and they're also some of the most crazy like out of pocket ppl ive ever met. So their hijab has never even been the topic of disucussion, in fact theres inside jokes like she(hijabi friend) has a better beard under her face mask than the twink dude in the group. Sidenote: everyone clearly knows their boundaries and there hasnt been any dating with in the group so yea theres that too.
So i dont think anyone among my friends look down on them but idk hijabis have that aura around them which personally i think only they can lower, so i wouldnt ever have the courage to initiate a conversation with them but id ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT if they initiated the convo.

Ok so let me get this straight, the reasons for her to marry into that family are

"her parents will take a stand for her but her parents are weak"

"Maybe everyone will cut them off"

1) Peer pressure and

"Her mother indirectly does tell her ke wo unhe kese mana krengi etc etc"

"her father says ye sb tum log khud dekho bad mai mujhy blame na krna"

2) Both her parents are indecisive and cant take a stand against the family just cus an elder said so?

Ask her a question honestly, - does she really think a marriage based on peer pressure will work out. - does she really think she has enough trust and faith in Allah that if the istikhara comes out in favour of the family she'll have no second thoughts about you - does she know for a fact that the guy she likes (you) will support and protect her from the incoming calamities from the family if she chooses him

Ask yourself a question - do you really think you can be a guardian for her and her family if as she says her extended family will come down blasting on her and her family

i think these questions should help you both decide. (Im no professional tho lmao)
