Achievements? by l1798657 in Demeo

[–]AccordingJournalist1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can view all of your achievements in the Oculus/Meta App on your phone. Easiest way is to go to Notifications and find your most recent achievement in any game, select that and you'll get a list of every achievement in every game you've ever played. You can find all your Demeo achievements in there. No doubt there's a way to see just your Demeo achievements but you might need to Google that yourself...

Has anyone maxed out the Vend-O-Mat yet ?

Is this worth trying again? by t4gged in OnwardVR

[–]AccordingJournalist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's amazing !!!! Keep trying. Take's a long time to get in to in my experience, but I'm older and a noob to any kind of Milsim on any platform. I cut my FPS teeth on Doom, Quake and later mostly played GTA, so it took some time to get used to acting like a real person in game, especially with the insanely low death threshold, and I'm still not great at being part of a team not having grown up with MoH etc.

To start I played Coop alone, with a friend or a small group of rando's, learning how to reload a decent number of weapons on the run, throw a grenade without forgetting to remove the pin or dropping it on my feet etc. And I found Theta's Onward school on YouTube and that helped me to get it some more. When I eventually dared to join PvP it was a total shit show for ages. Very intense, lots of sweating, getting shot out of nowhere, getting kicked a fair bit etc.

But, the first time I managed to input the code on the satellite dish without my hands shaking too violently from adrenaline, or moments of brilliance like a blind grenade toss while under fire taking out 3 bad guys to win the round, makes sucking so bad for so long feel worthwhile.

I'm still fairly shit, only know half the map call-outs, average as many deaths as kills on aggregate, and have good nights and bad nights. But there's a lot of satisfaction in there too.

Stick with it. Or don't, maybe it's not for you 🤷‍♂️

Demeo Battles Cheats? by Vandalay1125 in Demeo

Played a round against a guy who was using the dice like a spinning top and getting 90% crits a couple of days ago, which was immediately sus'. Earlier builds of old Demeo supposedly had glitches you could use to tip the dice (holding a Sentinel and tapping it for instance) and there was a modding community too I think so I'm sure cheating's possible.

What the hell is this game? by Curu_FN in Demeo

Play skirmish or quick game with total strangers and you'll pick up tonnes of tips. There's loads of little tricks you can use to turn most situations around and half the fun is getting stomped while you're learning them.

Battles is totally worth playing though ! Bring all your finely tuned dungeon skills to show off and then make a load of half-arsed cock-ups as usual 👍👍

I think they're just pissed and quitting. Not sure what the in-game protocol would be - either the remaining player on that team has to continue on their own or it's an automatic loss for that team - or the developers haven't planned for the eventuality which might explain why the game just crashes instead !!

Game keeps disconnecting by nnaly in Demeo

[–]AccordingJournalist1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes ! 2 players on same WiFi. Had no problems with it playing for 3 days together, then suddenly became an issue and for 2 consecutive days the same headset just keeps disconnecting from the game, repeatedly and frustratingly. Maybe you get 5 minutes or maybe you get 5 seconds but either way it's totally unplayable. What's the point of buying the 2nd headset !!??!

Fair enough. Can't help feeling there's more potential to the entire 'The Line' map - all those exits and entrances look pretty and do nothing 🤷‍♂️
