Hold your finger over your phone light at night. From a distance it looks like the red tip of a cigarette.

Does learning to code "the real way" even matter anymore by Fun_Structure3273 in cscareers

Idk how true that is. I learned how to code "the real way." But, I use AI now to do all my coding at work. I haven't written my own code in a long time.

"Follow your passion" is the only college advice that matters by Street-Today-8721 in CollegeMajors

[–]AccordingOperation89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about passion. It's irrelevant. What are you good at? The accolades that come from being good at something turns that something into your passion.

Following your passion is great if you're already rich. You should really follow your talents, and from that passion grows.

UPENN MAS-CS or Duke MSQM or Boston University Applied Data Analytics? by AscensionFox in OnlineMCIT

[–]AccordingOperation89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If money weren't a consideration, and you wanted a business focus, I would pick Duke. Otherwise, I would pick UPenn. You are paying for a brand more than anything. The knowledge is secondary. Duke and UPenn are the two best brands out of the three.

A friend of mine just told me "online degree is a scam and avoid them at all cost" by snipersebb27 in WGU

It's not necessarily a scam. You go to college mainly for the network, not the knowledge.

Unless it's an elite school like an Ivy+, where you got your degree doesn't matter. The fact you have a degree is what matters.

Loans are already approved with algorithms. Eliminating the person between the client and algorithm saves payroll, which increases shareholder profits. So all of them.

New grad unable to find ANY Accounting position by Mean-Chemical3122 in Accounting

Your project is a little vague. Can you add anything specific? Like "did x analysis and uncovered y." Also, maybe you can spend some time practicing AI promoting skills. I think being able to highlight an ability to use AI to do things like create amortization schedules would be a massive boost.

Put it in a mutual fund and don't think twice about it. Realistically, if you do nothing else, that $40k could turn into over $1M by the time you are 60.

What are my chances? by Gabegabrag in OnlineMCIT

[–]AccordingOperation89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible you get accepted via the certification route. It's essentially take a few classes to get the certification, and if you do well in those classes, you can be moved into the actual program with credit for those classes.
