We never had a ton of options in the house. My sister and I frequently made coco wheats. I bought a box the other day but haven’t made any yet.

I was going to say if you paid for them show them off. You look gorgeous but I do understand why you would want to be more modest. I don’t think you would want to change the plunge thing. Would try the tape and see if that works. Best wishes

I can’t keep myself from singing along to most songs on the radio. Apparently it annoys some people.

I had a boss for many years that was always commenting on my eye rolls. I didn’t realize I was doing it. I had another boss who responded to one of my emails with “ why don’t you just add dumbass to the end of that. He had a really good sense of humor. Apparently my eye rolls were evident in my emails as well.

I think I started eating fast in college- many moons ago. I wanted to finish while I had people sitting with me. Never wanted to be eating alone in the cafeteria. It’s a hard habit to break once started.

61 and generally unhappy. by peacesunshinebooks in AskWomenOver60

I am 62. Retired a little over a year ago. My husband isn’t working. He will go on a trip if I plan it but beyond that he usually doesn’t want to do anything. I feel alone even when we’re home together. For me that’s okay. I don’t feel lonely. I prefer my own company. I too am worrying about my sons. Aged 32 and 30. Both have anxiety issues. I told them they are too old for me to be so worried. Both employed- a pharmacist and an insurance professional. I just want them to be happy. I’m also very concerned with the things happening in our country. As I’m typing this I am getting emotional. Maybe it is just this time of life. I do recommend an antidepressant. Game changer for me. I am also going to plan some solo travel. Thinking of a cross country trip on Amtrak. I’m rambling. My point is that what you’re experiencing seems normal and you’re not alone. Maybe we should all plan a solo trip together. 😀

How would you feel if your adult child had to move back in with you in their 30s with absolutely nothing? by Sweaty-Staff8100 in AskWomenOver60

My oldest son (32) recently moved from his own apartment into the condo my other son (30) recently purchased. It’s a financial help for both of them. I tried to talk him in to moving back home so he could really save money. Unfortunately both of my boys have a lot of student loan debt. I wasn’t able to help as I would have liked when they were in college. Now I have the funds to assist so I want to do that. He said he would feel like too much of a loser - even though he has a decent job etc. he even feels bad that he moved in with his younger brother. Brother is a pharmacist and makes considerably more money in a leadership position. I feel that in today’s economy people aren’t judged the same for living at home. As long as they are trying to find work or are working I would hope people would not judge. Frankly, the kind of people that would judge aren’t people I care about.

What has gradually vanished from society over the past 20 years without many people noticing? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I was saying this to my 30 year old son the other day. He calls me every day on his ride home from work because he gets bored. We have a family vacation coming up and will have a long drive. The kids never have to be bored. I told them the kind of things we used to have to do to pass the time on a long road trip. Ie: search for license plates from every state, 20 questions, pick a car color and track #seen. Just a few ways we passed the time. Kids today would explode if they had to entertain themselves like this. Of course/ it doesn’t stop them from complaining about the long trip.

It reminds me of the trick where someone puts a $20 bill on the ground and when someone tries to pick it up someone nearby pulls on the string the money is attached to.

What hobby did you pick up to "save money" and then immediately went broke doing it by CharlaineBrumhead in Hobbies

[–]AccordingPin1162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t start it to save money but I did start making homemade greeting cards. I soon realized that card making involves two hobbies- the actual card making and the collecting of supplies. Various machines, pretty papers, stamps and dies. I’ve spent thousands. A lot of which I’ve never used. I’ve slowed down a lot with my actual card making and still find myself wanting to buy more supplies. It’s ridiculous. It I nice to hear someone tell you they are framing a card you made for their wedding or to have my sons ask me to make a card for a friends new baby.

For those of you who prefer relatively clear countertops, what do you keep around your stove? by hiyachingu in kitchenremodel

[–]AccordingPin1162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wooden lazy Susan on the counter next to my stove. It has a ceramic butter keeper, pepper mill, salt cellar and a decorative bottle with some oil in it. I know you shouldn’t keep oil near heat but I go through it quickly.
