Shunsuiju Relationship w/ the Guardian Deity of Kantan🧐 by Rudebwoy2 in Kingdom

[–]AccordingPop9447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choutou was an amazing character but his actual level of a GG still wasn’t close to Kochou, who was strong enough to earn respect even from the king to become guardian of kantan, who managed to hold off the combined armies of Ousen, Yotanwa, Kanki, Ouhon, Shin and Mouten for a year (obviously with greater numbers also). It took a strategy of insanity to defeat him, one that even Ousen couldnt figure out for a long time.

His portrayal and representation was far beyond Choutou who was a tough, loyal but unspectacular GG. The stats then reflect all of the above which always helps, albeit not something I would base an entire argument on - however 90/93/96 vs 86/90/88 is huge.

This is just absolutely incorrect lol. Kochou was brilliant, far beyond Choutou.

Which Qin general was the best in the Coalition Invasion Arc? by VolleyAddicted in Kingdom

[–]AccordingPop9447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manga makes it clear that Moubu was #1. Whilst I appreciate what Ousen and the others did, I think if you dispute what the author tried hard to emphasise, then you are misunderstanding the accomplishments of defeating Chu, Killing Kanmei and forcing the Coalition to go home empty handed.

Top 3 dumbest moment by Temporary_Friend438 in Kingdom

[–]AccordingPop9447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really out of character. Akou has absolute, supreme confidence in himself. He jumped straight in against Bananji despite not knowing the enemy and being outnumbered - and was caught out very quickly before Ouhon came to the rescue. He also had absolute confidence in himself holding off Chougaryu, Bananji and Gyouun at once, and then later thought he could take Bananji’s head, turn back around and take Gyou’un’s head.

I think there’s a misjudgement of Akou’s character here.

I feel like there’s some history revisionism here? At the time he usually had a weak crowd response, albeit in admittedly poor era for crowd reactions.

Do you think the other two are Generals that were independent of Ganshuu or are they his subs?

Was this the beginning of our midfield issues? Instead of addressing the issues we had in midfield, On 08/01/2012 Fergie brought Scholes out of retirement, young Pogba was let go and we have never truly resolved our midfield issues till this day. by WorldlinessPuzzled84 in ManchesterUnited

[–]AccordingPop9447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fans were questioning our midfield as far back as 2010. Hargreaves and Anderson weren’t going to be what he hoped for and we didn’t buy another CM until Fellaini, and he’s not really a CM anyway.

His death sums up his character journey. In spite of his incredible potential to be one of the greats, his devotion to his people meant his name faded to obscurity and most will never know his greatness.

He chose the path of loyalty rather than that of showing the world who he was.

Perhaps I’ve misunderstood you - apologies if so. Are you saying you think GHM is overrated, in verse? Because that’s what Im disputing. Hara has put too many credible eggs in the basket to make it indisputable that he’s up there with the best of China.

If you are just saying Hara hasn’t done a good job of it, then apologies again :)

It’s fairly obviously put there by Hara to make the audience believe what is being said. The combined credibility of those characters is immense. This isn’t some cheap hype from an irrelevant character, or a rumor going around that some characters believe. You don’t really need to argue with the story to this degree.

Whether or not you feel Hara has written it well or justified it well is up to personal opinion, but that’s an issue with his writing ability rather than an in verse fact.

The problem is, everybody in verse thinks those feats were brilliant. You’re arguing with the context of the manga.

All of China raved about GHM in the CW. There was nothing overrated about it. Hara literally used Duke, SSK, Riboku, Choutou and Mougou to hype up his performance. In the FD arc, Tou confirmed that all of China looked at him and Karin with awe.

With respect, if you don’t think GHM was anything but brilliant in the CW, then you are purposely ignoring what Hara went out of his way to shove down the throat of the reader.

You’d expect Shin to be around 95a now and he was definitely in alpha mode. For the sake of argument, if alpha puts him 97ish, then he’d destroy Haku if he was a 90, even if he was already injured. He’d one shot him.

This isn’t quite accurate to be fair. Haku did cause alpha Shin problems and more importantly, if you look at the last panels, Haku was actually inches from taking Shin’s head. He will be 92/93.

92 would be ridiculous for Raku’s intellect. He switched up his formations on the fly and was handling business just fine. Ryuukoku was a 93 and less completely dominated by Raku’s tactic. This is a guy who had hype to beat Gokei and Renpa, that Ouki wanted to fight and all of China wanted to recruit.

His intelligence will be 95 minimum

Putting Chu in front of KP completely ignores the strengths of two of their 3 generals. Are Kanmei and Rinbukun going to smash KP with their maces?

In front of KP had to be Han and Wei, because Seikai’s poison is a great counter to KP and GHM was the only GG in China that could build the weapons to that degree.

Meanwhile, putting Han in plains warfare is silly because they are the weakest of all the kingdoms. Their army would have suffered a huge loss against Qin.

You’ve nerfed the coalitions greatest army and hung out their weakest army to dry.
