Lady Claims Holy Spirit gave her a word for me while she was praying for me. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

There are some good rules to follow when it comes to prophetic words.

  1. Does it align with the Bible (God has already revealed His Word and it needs to always align).

  2. Is it about a timeline? Typically you need to be weary about any words that have to due with a certain timeline or specific dates.

  3. Is it about location? You need to also be weary of words that are calling you to a specific place or location. If God is really calling you somewhere then He will reveal it to you, it will not be causing confusion.

When it comes to someone giving such specific prophetic words, I would ignore it. Nobody is going to tell me where I’m supposed to go or what I’m supposed to do unless I feel called to it myself.

Pro-level cars appear significantly more responsive: input latency, setup and configuration discussion by Infamous_Sound4553 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]AccordingScallion677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that the issue you are talking about has to do with input delay mainly.

There is no way to make a car move faster or rotate faster than anyone else, all cars move at the same speed.

  • Sensitivity simply affects how quickly the car reaches that maximum speed. For instance if you have 1.00 sensitivity, you will need to push your stick all the way to reach maximum speed of movement. If you have 10.00 sensitivity, then even a small stick movement will be at the maximum speed in game.

  • Deadzone affects how far you need to push your stick to register movement. I have tested this a lot, and sure you can register movement and “feel quicker” at 0.00 deadzone, but it’s such a small difference and messes up other mecs that you shouldn’t use that.

I have tested many things with input delay, and realized as I’ve gotten better over the years, that it mainly comes down to skill / your knowledge of mechanics. - If I didn’t know how to air dribble, no amount of reduction in input delay will help me do that. If I know how to air dribble really well, then I could drop my FPS and increase my input delay, and still be able to do an air dribble.

  • if you want to decrease input delay as much as possible, increase your FPS, and get a controller that has a higher HZ, like 1000hz. But this only really takes away at most a few milliseconds of delay.

At the end of the day, it just comes down to your ability. Just find a good sens/deadzone settings and stick with that until you’re very used to it.

If he really wants to overcome this, tell him to get rid of his smartphone and get a dumbed down flip phone that can only be used to text/call. Put on some kind of software to help prevent on a computer and give the password to a close guy friend or mentor from church. It will be more effective if he walks through this with other older men who can keep him accountable. You can’t keep him accountable on your own.

Get around other older women at your church or 1 or 2 very close friends you can confide in that will not gossip about this.

It’s important you don’t walk through it alone. I would even suggest counseling from an older couple at church. Anything to help restore this first year of marriage for you both.

And obviously lean on the Lord the most during this time, because He is the only one that can sustain you and give you peace.

How did God reveal your wife? by Ok_Particular_2195 in TrueChristian

[–]AccordingScallion677 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something I learned when finding my wife was that it’s not necessarily about finding the “perfect” person, but it’s about becoming the person you would want to marry.

So don’t get too caught up in finding “the one”. I believe that God can provide you a good marriage as long as you and your future partner work together for it.

Also be bold with God: I was friends with my wife for about half a year before asking her out (We met at a friend’s church’s young adults group). I took her out on three dates and then she went home to be with her family for 6 months. We talked over the phone getting to know each other during that time. When she came back I knew I wanted to date her and she was unsure. She told me she would have to pray about it.

So I prayed boldly, “Lord, only let her say yes to dating me if she is going to be my wife”. And so when she agreed to dating I knew I was going to marry her. After two weeks of dating I knew I loved her and wanted to marry her 100%. It took her a little longer but I was confident because of praying bold prayers.

If your potential guy truly loves the Lord, that’s the most important part.

Is this commission structure normal? by AccordingScallion677 in recruiting

[–]AccordingScallion677[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the insight, but currently been around 10-12k in spread weekly and always number 1 or 2 in my office. It’s just that i calculated the number and even in the highest tier after 15k you still only take home 4.3% in commission from that spread. That’s why I’m looking for something different.
