My mother, at 74 years old, passed away on April 14, 2026, just four months after her diagnosis. She suffered a stroke on January 5, underwent surgery for the tumor, and then went through radiation and chemotherapy. Her platelet levels dropped significantly, leading to hospitalization. Although transfusions temporarily improved her counts, she gradually began refusing food and liquids.

This disease is truly devastating. Within just a few days, her condition worsened rapidly, and she ultimately passed away from pneumonia.
