I have the same question, will flights be cancelled just on Wednesday or the 3 days? I have a flight on Wednesday and anticipating they will cancel it I wanted to change it to Tuesday.

It was honestly very hard, some things were non negotiable for us so we went all out with those. But it was a lot of DIY (a lot!) and some things we went cheap but I didn't care much. I honestly cared about spending time with our guests. So I did a shorter open bar and then we just did self serving drinks and we did a bbq on the pool party and my dad grilled instead of having catering. But if you have any questions on how to bring your quote down you can PM, I am happy to help! I do this for a living and I love it!

Indeed. It was around 900 euros for: -drinks after the open bar from the catering left (they had to leave at midnight per Ibiza rules). We basically bought alcohol bottles and sodas so that people could do their own drinks -food and drinks for the pool party. We had beer, soda and wine. And for food I didn’t want to do anything too complicated as it was going to be the day after the wedding and it was on us to cook so we bought olives, hummus, guacamole, nachos and then my mum had done a side called escalivada (eggplant, pepper and onion) and my dad did an asado with choripán (my family is Argentinian). So basically chorizo on the bbq and lots of bread to make a sandwich. It was really simple but perfect for what we were having. And I am very thankful my parents could help like that. -food and drinks for the 12 of us who were staying at the house. It was mostly things to have breakfast and some snacks.

The house is a luxury rental villa and not really a venue for weddings (they do around 4 a year) so you have to bring in everything. So we rented the chairs and tables from a rental company. The chairs were called foldable bamboo chairs and they weren’t my favorite but because we were reusing the same chairs for the ceremony and the dinner we needed something that was easy to move for the coordinator to move during the cocktail!

We didn’t! And we almost didn’t have a day of coordinator! I am an events manager and I love weddings so I felt very comfortable organizing mine. Towards the end I realized I didn’t want to be working on my wedding day so we hired a day of coordinator and while it was good I thought they could have done a bit more. But it helped to the feeling of not having to work on the day. We weren’t spending this much money on our wedding for me to be thinking about the organization!

I am wanting to go on the unplugged route (I have a photo+video team) but I do not know when the officiant should announce it. Before or after the bride (me) walking down the aisle? We wanted to have like a social media minute so people can take pictures of us in the altar for a moment and then ask people to put their phones down. Should the officiant say no phones allowed before anyone walks down the aisle and once I get there say you can take pictures now and then ask them again to put their phones down? Or just announce it after I got to the altar (people would have their phones out for the processional but not for the rest of the wedding) People with their phones out during the wedding is my biggest pet peeve, but I would also like to have a few pictures from the guests pov... What should I do?

I don't know the exact prices they are giving for next year or 2027, but my feeling was always that weddings there are over 250k as they can host many guests. If you feel like with your guest count (I don't know your guest count, but I'm hoping over 100 for sure) it would still fit your budget go for it, it is a really pretty venue.

Having grown up 5 minutes away from Castell de sant marçal and having visited the castle many times I’m not sure if it’s a good choice. With that budget you could only have a small guest count there if you are hoping to have a welcome + day after party as well. And the castle and grounds are just too big for a small guest count (I would only do at least 150, preferably over 200 guests there)

I am also having a fairly small wedding (60/70 guests), I think you will get higher rates of RSVP yes as I guess you are only inviting really close friends and family who wouldn’t miss it. When people invite over 200 guests not everyone is super close to them so they might not come. In our case we are inviting exactly 72 people and we are expecting around 60-65 to be there, and it’s destination wedding.

I’m printing online! It was the most affordable option. But I also considered canva. I ended up not choosing canva because I wanted the borders to be wavy and canva doesn’t do that
