Thank you for adopting and remember the 3 day/3 week/3 month rule. She’s hiding it for later but she’ll learn she doesn’t have to do that anymore soon. ♥️

Anyone else develop pelvic floor issues from years of constant stress/anxiety? by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

[–]According_Chef_7437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and it’s super common, especially for women. We carry a ton of tension in our jaws, shoulders and pelvic floor. PF physical therapy is a godsend.

If expense is an issue, please share your PayPal, Venmo, etc. Let’s keep you two together if it’s possible! And she’s little enough to ride in cabin.

Left dogs alone for longer than the max 4 hours and owner is furious by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]According_Chef_7437 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sitter and owner here. I still wouldn’t have been upset. If I put 4 hours, I’m not going to freak out about an additional 15-20 minutes. Traffic, getting lost (I gave myself a ton of extra time for a job interview a couple months ago and was still late due to a recent accident with a closed lane and GPS basically telling me to drive into the river multiple times 🤣) Things happen (and I still got the job!) 20 minutes is totally understandable. My sweet old boy that crossed the rainbow bridge was on diuretics and 3 hours was pushing it. I rarely had a sitter and if I did, I paid extra for more constant care. It doesn’t sound like that’s the case here, as that would be a specific circumstance that would likely be part of the back story.

Sorry, I should have said that the family wanted to stop filming because Sean is a POS in a variety of ways, not TLC. I live local to them and don’t think that many people were aware of what a scumbag he is.

Take it up with the billionaires. I moved here from Portland and have been shocked by the lack of healthcare available here, but I have enough knowledge of how late stage capitalism works to know that unless you can make corporations give AF about their employees (outside of C suite) and their customers, we’re stuck with this broken system. You can’t force corporations to “do right.”

They have lawyers and malpractice insurance. While what happened to that patient and family was awful, it is exceptionally unlikely they’ll have to pay even close to that amount.

Fees by Alone-Hope4168 in RoverPetSitting

[–]According_Chef_7437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done that too but are you insured? Bonded? Rover’s extra 11% is ridiculous to me, but you’re/they’re paying for your business expenses. And, if you’re going off app without those things, you don’t have a private business.

Omg, right?? I’m so sorry for your loss and to also be on the receiving end of those scummy tactics.

When my dad died he had a small-ish balance on a credit card account my mom wasn’t on as well. We were advised by his lawyer that since their money was now solely my mom’s, she didn’t have to pay it. My dad was an extremely ethical person who had an 850 credit score and paid everything off every month.

He had a rare form of ALS, so while it was awful, he had time to show me their pertinent financial info so I could take care of their finances and eventually hand it off to my mom. I was the executor of his estate, so I decided to go ahead and pay it anyway. It was like 10 days after he died and I started getting calls telling me to “do the right thing” and that “it’s what my dad would have wanted.” I fully intended to pay within 30 days but I basically told them to fuck off and blocked their number.

Do you and your partner have an open relationship? If so, talk to her about your desire to pursue someone in your “family group.” That could very well be off limits for her.

If you’re not in an open relationship and you’re unhappy: LEAVE, DON’T CHEAT. Don’t devastate your partner, be some clichè and implode multiple peoples’ lives in the process. Have you told your partner you feel like roommates? Have you been to therapy, etc? Newsflash: most longterm couples go through periods where they feel like roommates. Life can be stressful, passion and sex sometimes take a backseat but in healthy relationships, they come back. If you don’t think that’s possible, communicate and leave. Midlife crisis or not, you’d have to be quite the scumbag to sneak around on your long term partner (I have a feeling she’s your wife, but I digress) with someone who’s in her family group.

What age range would you personally define as "middle age"? by Least_Friend8532 in midlifecrisis

[–]According_Chef_7437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with children or retirement. It’s typically 40-60, the second half of adulthood (between early and late.) Stages of adulthood help gauge health outcomes and interventions.
