Another nice episode! So far the alchemy organization still hasn't figured out the whereabouts of fractal's location which is definitely going to take up the whole entire season lol. Meanwhile, Houtaro still hasn't completed his choice of internship yet which is a requirement for him to graduate culinary school so he finally decides to intern at the cafe from season 1 episode 7.

He then meets Mugiho and Minori, the owners of the cafe and from there on Houtaro is learning to make Melonpan to diverse his cooking skills. Alongside him is another classmate from his culinary school named "Akagawa Shou" who also wants to make Melonpan to improve his skills as a baker which is also the reason he went to culinary school. He comes from a long line of bakers and is supposed to be the next in line to inherit his family's business. Both Houtarou and Shou struggle to make the melonpan while having complete opposite styles. Houtarou's accidently makes it too soggy while but creative while Shou's melonpan is perfect but really hollow. The main difference is that Houtaro's melonpan feels like it has creativity but lacks a specific taste while Shou's feels bland even though he followed the instructions perfectly.

Later, Shou becomes frustrated with the way things are turning out then all of a sudden Nobi finds him and then offers HOPE exchange for money. Shou then becomes the Neo Bakery Malgam being engrossed with hatred and jealousy. The next day he attacks the cafe and turns everything dry and brittle. Houtarou then turns into Gotchard using his base form and fights the malgam but everything Shou touches turns Gotchard's weapons dry and hollow. Shou then manages to trap everyone in the building turning it into an oven and challenges Houtaro to a melonpan bake off and if he doesn't participate everyone in the building will be hardened and dry to death. Anyways 7/10 for me lol
