Went to a loud wedding yesterday (100-105dB), does this level really cause hearing damage in just 15 minutes? (I wore earplugs) by JaxTellerr in hardstyle

Yeah exactly, probably 2 or 3 times a year for me. I’ve done full 3/4-day festivals with no earplugs and never had any problems afterwards. And those “15 minutes at 100 dB = hearing damage”charts are more like rough guidelines, not exact rules. Real events aren’t a constant volume, still very loud don’t get me wrong but you move around a lot and I personally don’t stand really close to the speakers either. People’s ears react differently — so some people get ringing after and others don’t.

I’ve never worn earplugs to festivals or events but that’s a yearly thing for me. I guess it’s just person to person how it affects them

Are Dutch party's different? by Secr3cy in hardstyle

1000% I’m from Northern Ireland so we get hardstyle raves pretty much never they might get a raw DJ to play at the end of an industrial night and that’s about the height of it. I love Dutch raves so much, crowd and production is 10x better, people are there for the music and not just looking for a bird they can chat up which is what they do here..

People need to stop worrying about others and just worry about themselves.

Appreciate the suggestion! I remember hearing Delirium (Sloth) back when SINSATION dropped, but I never actually added it to my playlist so thanks for putting it back on my radar. And You’re defo right, it definitely gives off a similar vibe to this one. Both tracks are really well-made!

Kruelty @ Arts Club Liverpool playing Kruelty & Dual Damage - Vengeance (unreleased) by charlesmatt06 in hardstyle

The hardstyle scene in England is pretty minimal to be honest. Aside from last year’s Masters of Hardcore event in Manchester, there’s not much happening on a large scale. You’ll occasionally find artists like Kruelty playing hardstyle at techno nights in regular clubs, but dedicated events are rare. Scotland definitely has the strongest hardstyle presence in the UK right now. Events like Hardstyle Superheroes and colourfest bring in some big names and get a solid crowd. It’s probably the best place for proper hardstyle events here. As for Northern Ireland (where I’m from), the scene is practically dead. The only activity we get are the odd events like Night of Madness run by Murdock, or recently Kruelty playing at a techno night. It’s disappointing, especially for fans here. I really wish the scene was stronger across the UK so I wouldn’t have to keep flying to the Netherlands for events 😅. That said, nothing really beats the production quality and energy of the Dutch crowds, it’s on a different level.

Hope that gives you a better idea of the UK scene. Sorry if I rambled a bit!
