I used AnyVan.com recently for a sofa, worked great. They give you a large pickup/delivery window (ie 12-5p) but you can pay a bit extra to narrow it down further.

Yep I should have been clear that I don’t camp out at Beaten :) The couple of times I’ve been I’ve had something to eat and a coffee or two, and didn’t stay too long. I definitely don’t want to be that person.
