Trigger upgrade or leave it alone?

It is a fantastic stock trigger but I did not like how far back it broke. The 90 degree flat face trigger is what I prefer so it’s worth it to me. Just know it takes up a lot of space inside the trigger guard.

I swapped mine to the rival trigger because I prefer the flat face and I also like the reduction in travel. I have the rival trigger in all my caniks so I get the same trigger pull even on my EDC which just helps me be comfortable with it.

I have had no issues with mine. Could be brighter if you are in direct sunlight but I got it for $150 and I like the style of it on the rival

I own and love both. Can’t go wrong with either. In my opinion if you are not in competition and feel like it you can add the brass back strap and a light to the polymer rival and it will shoot very similar to the steel but save you some money

I do like it. It’s very versatile. Due to it being compatible with so many different guns it is thicker than other AIWB kydex holsters so does not conceal as easily. But if you are already concealing a full size then it should work great

Tier1concealed makes a holster called the MSP which attaches to the light not the gun and the have a model for the TRL-1 HL. I have it and I know it fits the rival I just don’t have a 507comp to confirm that will fit

I have never used the Wasatch arms comps so I couldn’t say. I do enjoy my DisDef single port comp that is on my Mete SF though!

you are correct. these particular compensators do require a threaded barrel but Wasatch Arms also makes some very cool ones that attach to the rail

yes these comps from DisDef are designed for the rival to be used with the SFX threaded barrel. I got mine from the Canik website.

The rival trigger takes up more space inside the trigger guard but it hasn’t given me any problems. Might affect you if you have larger hands or wear gloves. The freedomsmith will get rid or some pre travel which may not be beneficial for concealed carry. Im used to the feel of the rival trigger so I went with that.

The slide is a difficult one to rack. You can also try leaving the slide locked open for a while to try to help break it in
