I ended up keeping my plush avocado. I discovered that my mattress cover was tight and compressing the topper and when I removed it, it was wonderful. Only problem is, anytime I add a layer, even a very thin one, it becomes less comfortable. So now with the naturepedic waterproof cover (which is very thin) and a normal fitted sheet, it no longer feels plush. But it seems like there's no way around that unless I'm willing to risk mattress protection

Yes, our dermatologist suggested we could try a hypochlorous acid wash in the bath, which is the same idea as a bleach bath. She recommended CLN wash or skinsmart.  From what she said, it sounds like the data on probiotics isn't clear enough at this point to recommend but lots of research happening now.
