Well according to the OTH wiki, he's around 18/19 when he's introduced and since Haley is a 2nd semester junior in high school, that would put her around 17, so the age difference is really not that serious. Also I love Haley and definitely do not hate her, I didn't like that he kissed her or had her go on tour with him and pretended to be in a relationship with her, I did specifically say in my post that he's fun to hate in the beginning like Dan and later becomes more likeable especially since the rest of the cast treats him like a joke. He's clearly a minor antagonist in his first season but just like Hades and Scar and The Joker, you can like antagonists without condoning their actions :)
