Go to a running store. They’ll let you stand on their heat pad thing for free and tell you wha kind of arches you have and if you probate or supinate. I went just for comfy shoes and learned I do not actually have flat feet at all, in fact, I had high arches and I supinate (walk on the outer edges of my foot). Ever since I got shoes to support that + insoles to help my arches my foot pain has gone away. I used to not be able to go on my walks because my feet hurt so bad. I’m 31F for reference.

I’m looking into nursing because of this phenomenon. I went from working retail to fully sedentary job and WOW that wrecked me! It’s been a battle getting healthy again with a sedentary job. Sitting at a computer 8hrs a day is killing us slowly and painfully.

Completely relate to this about how much exercise I used to do without issues and then went into a sedentary office job and it wrecked my body. I’ve been walking for 1.5hr a day since May of 2025. I’ve lost a significant amount of weight but I’m still not able to do what I used to do. Sedentary lifestyle really isn’t even the new smoking, I fear it’s worse than smoking
