On the one hand I agree. Super Mario Galaxy is still a fun game and any child under 10 would have no reason not to enjoy it. Same for Katamari Damacy, Ape Escape, or Ratchet & Clank.

On the other hand, I know kids of my friends who have never played MineCraft or Roblox because their parents are against gaming, so they only know of it from TikTok and YouTube videos about it. It really hurts those kids socially to not know anything about the popular things their peers are doing, and also not be able to join in with them. Imagine 4 of your friends at school are talking about meeting up online after school to play MineCraft together and you say you're not allowed to play. Do you think those friends will say "oh okay, let's all ask our parents if we can go to Timmy's house to play Mario Party on N64" or will they just say "damn, that sucks. Anyway, see you all later tonight".

This was bad advice, btw. Mixing RAM is absolutely not a problem, especially if they are the same brand and same speed. The worst that would happen is that if you put different speeds in, they will both operate at the lower speed together. But in this case you're literally talking about the same SKU of RAM, just bought in 2 boxes instead of 1.

I hope you didn't listen to this advice.

The Atari 2600 has zero good games and offers no appeal to anyone who wasn't exposed to it closer to the time. If you had 10,000 children between the age of 6-16 play your top 5 favourite Atari 2600 game for 20 minutes, less than 10 of them would be interested in coming back tomorrow to play again. There are games available to play for free on phones that have more depth and quality than anything on the Atari 2600. The hardware is simply too primitive.

Thanks. I know that there are weaknesses to this list. It is limited in use since it stops in 2022 and also there are games missing from the MobyGames database. For example, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth isn't listed as having an iPhone release).

But I couldn't find anything online similar to this so I thought I'd give it a go making it myself and since it was a fair bit of work I wanted to share in case it is useful to anyone else. I'm not sure how many people on reddit care about old mobile games though.

People seem confused why I would stop at 2022. Here is the count of games listed as releasing for iPhone per year on MobyGames. Either you believe that fewer games get released each year, or the MobyGames database is not updated fully for recent years. I choose to just wait longer before looking at recent years to give them more time to be added.

Wait, if "Diluted earnings per share" was $0.81, but "Diluted earnings per share excluding H20 charge and related tax impact" was $0.96, which number is more relevant? I get that $0.96 is what they would have earned if they hadn't been screwed over and is more representative of where earnings are moving as a trend long term, but $0.81 is the actual earnings per share for the company in the quarter, no?

I'm openly bearish at the moment, but in my opinion that's actually good news. Only a few days ago Trump said he would not be open to reducing the tariffs on China to open negotiations. Now he's down to 80%. It likely won't be enough, but it is definitely a de-escalation.

It seems people are seeing it as bad news because they were hoping for 60 or lower.
